Lovely Iban woman’s skirt from the Kapit region in Sarawak, circa 1940-1950. The broad center field is woven from handspun cotton and natural dyes. The red use in this is particularly rich. The narrow bands on the side are made of commercial thread and dye. This has a Bangit fruit pattern, which signifies “abundance”. Japanese Early Meiji Period Gosho Ningyo (Palace Doll) depicted with a gift box with Daruma and featuring a crane. He is wearing a fitted silk crepe haragake bib tied at the neck and waist. He has a delightfully rendered face with a bright expression, slightly open mouth, and painted features. His forehead has a painted auspicious mizuhiki (presentation ribbon). He is covered overall in a fine white gofun (oyster shell lacquer). 4.5h x 4.5w inches, 11.5h x 11.5w cm.

Chinese antique small jade medallion, made of very pale green jade, carved on both sides with four butterflies surrounding a round inset piece which is carved to spin on it's own. Size: 2 1/4" wide (diameter) x 1/8" thick.

This rare Archaic E-Notch point, made from translucent gray glossy flintridge, is in perfect condition. It has heavy grinding on the base and in the bottom portion of the notches. This is a classic example of the type and is beautifully beveled. It was found near Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio. Comes with a Gregory Perino certificate of authenticity and shows very nice mineralization and patination.

This high relief, decorative personal grooming set consists of the 10 x 5" hand mirror with beveled glass, the 9-1/4 x 3" hair brush, the 5-5/8 x 1-3/4" small clothes or shoulder brush and the 7 x 2-1/2" large clothes brush. This vanity or dresser set matches, it has the Howard marks, STERLING, 925/1000 and a patent date of 1892 (PAT. '92.)...

Attractive and lovely netsuke carved from ivory. A puppy lying on the carpet, with a decorated collar around its neck, and inlaid with brown horn in its eyes. Beautiful work of the fur. Length : 3,8 cm. Japan Edo (1603 - 1868) end of 18th, very early 19th century.

Attic squat lekythos of ovoid body decorated with a net motif in black and crème.
The lekythos belongs to the Attic Bulas Group, which manufactured small vases. As a characteristic of the Bulas Group, the net ornament is applied directly on the clay ground.
The rim and the upper portion of the handle are glazed black; the reserved neck with black lines and vertical tongues in applied white.

18th century good size wooden netsuke of a monstrously tall South Seas islander wearing a leaf skirt and holding a fish in one hand, with a man in Chinese robe hardly reaching a knee level of the giant and raising his hand in amazement. Unusual subject, very strong early carving with obvious and expected wear, wonderful face with wide open mouth, superb patina with beautiful warm sheen, deep himotoshi in accordance with the habit of the time. Beautiful Chinese small silk purse, salmon colored silk sewn into intricate raised pattern with metallic thread, silk lining on inside, sewn onto each side is a beautiful carved white jade butterfly 2 3/4" wide. The purse cord is braided metallic thread with three carved linked white jade rings on end. Republic Period (although jade is probably older). Purse is 5 1/2" wide.
