A water dropper, decorated with splashed iron brown spots and a Qingbai ( Yingqing ) glaze over a porcelain body. The flat base unglazed. Yuan Dynasty 1279 - 1368. Diameter : 6,2 cm. H : 5,4 cm. Condition : Perfect ! ( It is nearly impossible to find an ewer or an water dropper of the Yuan Dynasty, on that the spout is not broken or restored. This water dropper is in perfect condition ! )

This lovely Shino tea bowl fashioned from coarse Mino clay is covered in feldspar glazing, has a classic ferrous abstract painting across the front, and shows nice age—most likely from early to middle Edo.

Shino-ware dates to the Momoyama period when potters were attempting to recreate white porcelain-wares that were being imported from China at the time. Originally they were made in a single-chamber anagama style kilns set into the hillsides...

Mesa Verde Black on White Very large Oval pouring bowl 1050 to 1150 ad., it has no restoration. It is a large 5-1/2"high X 11"long X 8-1/2"wide. It is broken and re-glued, it is missing a couple shards per pictures. I acquired this in a trade with a friend. All my items are guaranteed to be authentic and as described.

The exterior is embroidered with Sagara embroidery (Peking knot), and has a sarasa design of stylized butterflies, birds and flowers. The sarasa (Indian Chintz), first came to Japan through the Nanban trading in the late 16th century and was tremendously favored by the tea masters and some daimyo (regional lords) during the Edo period...

Japanese studio ware ceramic figure of the immortal, Gama Sennin. Based on the Chinese 10th century alchemist, Liu Hai, Gama Sennin is often depicted in relation to the lucky 3-legged money-toad. Gama Sennin can assume the form of a toad and can change his skin to appear young again. In this depiction of the much loved immortal, he sits on a rocky outcropping and hold in one hand a peach, in the other a small toad...

Statue of Hindu god Indra, wearing a diadem, large earrings and a loin cloth, sitting in a variation of the virasana posture. He has the typical third eye on his forehead. His face reflects a profound inner serenity. The statue is made of gilt bronze, with a nice age patina and remnants of ritual material on the face. Nepal, early 19th century. Height: 24.5 cm. Old encrustations, otherwise very good condition.

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges in the 1890s. The porcelain was produced and decorated at the factory. The saucer is 4 7/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 3 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The ground color is powder blue. Art Nouveau style dandelions are hand painted and hand gilded on each piece. A Chinese cloisonne circular box and cover decorated to the top with formal lotus, the sides with flower groups. 10.5cms diam. Qing dynasty. The gilded base incised with a Jiajing mark in a vertical line. Provenance: L. Wannieck, Paris (label). A London collection. Previously the property of a professor in Seal Beach, California. Originally purchased in Pasadena.

Beautifully detailed spelter lamp of a school boy dressed in knickers and a cape, holding his book under his arm. The whole lamp stands 41" tall with an 8" diameter on the base. The figure of the boy, without the base or the font, stands 20 1/2" tall. There is a small chip on the top rim of the shade, but everything else is in perfect condition. This is one of the nicest lamps of its kind that I've had.

Amazing antique Chinese porcelain dish. Beautifully formed, glazed with a rich monochrome turquoise color. Standing on four small unglazed feet. Intricately decorated with tiny drum-like rivets around the outer edge and on the inside with raised stylized 5-bat motif around a central prosperity symbol. The underside has an incised 6 character Qianlong zhuanzhu mark (1735-1796) or later.
