A wonderful symethric style scarab of stylized form, Second Intermediate Period, Hyksos Period, Dynasty 15th -17th. 1786 – 1650 BC.

A nicely shaped and symmetrical Song Dynasty bowl, olive green glaze with minor typical wear to the glaze due to age. Outside of bowl is decorated with incised lotus leaf pattern. This bowl is overall in a very good condition. Diameter is 7+ inches and height is 3 inches. Hi-resolution images upon request.

Lovely old Burma betel/siri/pandan box-a rare find with complete and original trays circa 1940 to 1950, and no restoration. The lid is semi domed with 8 planets pattern and central peacock medallion, the side has dancers and an assortment of abstract mythical beasts. Minor losses to lacquer on the lid (please see enlargements). Signed in Burmese script Saya(Sir)Kyi ~Myingabar Quarter,Pagan. Please see last enlargement for reference. Chinese Rosewood heavy weight three(3) Tier Table, 31" high, 17" x 13" wide, mid to late 19th century, 2 solid piece of rosewood panel table tops and third bottom tier top is made of rosewood lattice work, whole table is framed with solid Rosewood and supported by 4 turned legs, no nail was used, all wooden pieces are pegged into the the other pieces of wood.

Rare Japanese Okimono Pair of Bronze Silverised Patina Fighting Cocks. Fine dramatic sculptures that are amazing and can be positioned in endless ways. They feature very natural details and action. Heights: 10.5 and 8 inches, 27 and 20.5 cm.

An unusual octagonal Chinese lacquer stacked box set painted with black ground and elaborate gold designs featuring prominently the warring dragons and pearl motif on the lid, also repeated stylistically on the sides. Cabriole legs support a sunken base which supports 2 trays and a lid. Overall condition is quite good but as you will see in one of the photos, there is paint loss on the legs to varying degrees, the one shown being the most egregious example. A beautifully-detailed 19th Century Anglo-Indian desk set elaborately carved in ebony with a center storage box topped by a fabulous carved elephant with ivory tusks, one drawer, and lion paw feet. Excellent antique condition, there is one age crack, see photo. Measures including feet 16.5 long, 7" high including elephant, 10" deep.

Floral rondelles, the five central ones with tassels, comprise this lovely cut steel necklace. Multi-faceted cut steel jewelry was popular during the 18th and mid 19th century. The jewelry sparkled in candlelight and was used as a substitute for diamonds. The necklace measures 15 1/2" long and 1 3/4" at its widest.

A porcelain two handled small tureen with cover and stand (this could possibly be a very large ecuelle) in a classical urn form with the handles having hooded classical female faces. The form is similar to one sold as Nove at Sotheby’s Zurich November 25, 1992 lot 126, illustrated. This one decorated with hunting horns and flowers on one side and a quiver and bow with flowers on the other. Extensive gilding and floral bands on the top and on the stand. Overall height 8 inches (20 cm)...

The dish is shaped in the form of a folded paper letter. Unusually it is decorated with a stenciled design of what appears to be a formal pattern of lightning behind an arrangement of stylised flowers. The back is simply decorated with pine needles.

Two dishes of very similar shape are illustrated in the Catalogue of the Shibata Collection, items 2604 and 2635, dated to 1690 ~ 1730.

An antique Japanese Kasane Tansu (stacking chest on chest) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware including the Kakute style handles and the stylized Chrysanthemum lock plates. Open fan style corners to the drawer fronts. Locking pin system secures top section to the bottom. Constructed using Japanese joinery and hardened wooden nails.

Age: Early Meiji period (1868-1880)
