18th century or earlier Indian bronze lamp stand from Western India in a form of Garuda standing on one knee, his hands in praying attitude, his wings spread, and with a naga (cobra) rising by his right leg. Garuda, being the mount of Vishnu, is regarded as representing essential qualities of the deity in animal form, and was worshipped as deity itself. Very nice casting, pleasant patina from the piece being handled, devotional wear on the front. Height 4 7/8 inches.

Two strands of Kushan/Bactrian of mixed stone (mostly carnelian) beads. I acquired these along with coins dating from 1st- 4th CE from the same site in North West Pakistan, so these can be dated no later than 1500 years old. There are a few agate and quartzite beads in the lot, some with traces of “etching”. The crescent shaped beads would have originally small ringed shaped ornaments that have been drilled and “knapped” to some extent to accommodate them being strung...

This porcelain sugar bowl with lid and cream pitcher was produced in the United States around 1900. It is signed by Osborne who was an artist at Pickard and later opened his own decorating studio. The sugar bowl measures 6 inches across the handles and is approximately 4 1/4 inches high, including the lid. The decoration is in the art nouveau style. Chinese Qing dynasty compressed bombe form tripod censer with flat rim covered overall in an olive-brown glaze (possibly a celadon variant) that drips over the mouth and down the body leaving the interior and base unglazed. This is an Achaean archer's arrowhead that was crafted in bronze using the V-shaped tanged technique. It belongs to the type VII c category and dates back to the Bronze Age, which lasted from 1500 B.C. until the final phases of the Mycenaean period in 1100 B.C. Ancient Greek archers commonly used this type of arrowhead during the Trojan War.
