A lidded Japanese Imari porcelain vase, finely painted with landscape cartouches and Ho-o birds among brocade pattern and peonies. With 19th century French bronze mountings, the pedestal composed of four nicely modelled elephant heads and heart shaped bordure, which is repeating on the rim ring. Condition: fine, only cover inside with a tiny rim chip (see picture no. 8). Dimension: total height: 31.8 cm.

This shallow form bowl is decorated in a famille rose palette with vibrant overglaze enamels in the standard pattern known in the West as pseudo tobacco leaf. The form and paste of the dish is that of the Qianlong Period. There are some small nicks to the rim from use and a tiny rim nick infill. A small oval glaze crack shows on the front rim with a tiny associated restored chip. Otherwise, it is in good condition with only minor wear to the enamels...

Soapstone pot. Sculpted decoration of a landscape animated by characters. In certain places, openwork crosses the walls. The cylindrical pot rests on three feet carved from the mass, it is covered with an openwork wooden lid, topped by a soapstone grip representing lotuses. Antique Japanese bush holder made of ceramic with highly raised scenes of fu-dogs, one glazed a buff color, the other blue. They stand with characteristic whimsical expressions on mossy rocks out of which bloom large peony flowers in white and pale pink. There are 5 holes in the top for brushes.
