18th century or earlier Chinese carved marble head of the Buddha. Superb carving, extraordinary beatific face with a slight smile. Wonderful finish to the surface, great feel of age. Pleasantly heavy, comes with very well made hardwood stand. Marble height 7.5 inches, height with stand 10 inches.
This is a late southern Song dynasty black glazed eight lobed ewer. It stands on a short recessed base exposing the buff colour earthen clay material. The glaze is generally preserved.

A rare bronze (copper tin alloy) incense tool holder, very finely cast in archaised Song Dynasty style. The square form neck is decorated alternately with Lingzhi fungus and stylized Acanthus leaves. Both are traditionally associated with resilience, good health and long life.

Early 20th Century rose quartz carving of 2 beauties. Made of one piece, it is difficult to find a double figure carving like this. Presented on a custom rosewood stand, this rose quartz carving has really nice details that we were not able to fully capture with a camera. It is much nicer in person and you won't be disappointed. In excellent condition, it measures on stand 10-1/2" high x 5" wide x 2". Carving alone measures 9-1/8" high.

Porcelain or stoneware vase covered with a thick, deep black glaze that is stained with brown streaks in places same as Tenmoku style. The ceramic is very heavy, thick and solid. The glaze is deep and thick, in some places it flows in very thick drops.The rim of the neck has no glaze which makes me think that it must have been lightly ground, if so it should not be missing much as the vase is very elegant and well proportioned. I think that it's Ming périod perhaps earlier.
