This rare cloisonné statue of a mythical animal is a late 19th century product. It is 10” high, 16” long and 8 ½” wide. According to Chinese legend, an animal that has a dragon head and tortoise body is called “BaXia” (or Bixi) and is the oldest of nine dragon sons. BaXia is valiant and powerful; he has the strength to carry the heaviest of burdens. He has the body and shell of the tortoise, so it represents longevity and will bring good fortune...
1900's Chinese Jadeite Carved Dragon Belt Hook with 14K Gold Frame Marked
It is 4.1 inches (10.5 cm) long by 0.86 inch (2.2 cm) wide. The belt is 3.2 inches (8.2 cm) long by 0.5 inch (1.3 cm) wide. The gold frame is 15.7 gram. The total weight is 49.7 gram.
It has inclusions at the jadeite, surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

19th Century Chinese Blue and White Porcelain underglaze Blue Urn with Cover, 17 1/2", 10" wide-widest part, 5 1/2" diameter-top rim, sharp brilliant nice underglaze Blue decoration of double Happiness character among scrolling vine and Peony floral decoration, marked on the bottom but this urn or jar was made during early 1800's to mid 1800's, representing good quality of Blue and White Porcelain Product. Charming Chinese ink rubbing of a stone stele depicting a fat cat surrounded by rockery with holes and chrysanthemum flowers after a painting by Jiang Tingxi (1669-1732) that was based upon an earlier work by Ming artist Lu Ji (1477-1505). Condition: drilled hole to the base and wear to the gilt, minor scratch marks and some wear around the neck (from the original lid, now missing). Pair of Qilin, a Chinese mythical beast sometimes associated with giraffes or Camelopard. Polychrome glaze on clay, with fine detailing. Bottom of the pair contains a seal reading: Qianlong Nianzhi which would be from the mid to late 18th century. However in reality the piece was made during the 19th century. Size: Length: 4" Width: 2.5" Height:10.25".
A pendant with a good luck symbol on one side and an interesting cat face design on the other. Size: W. 5.5cm. L. 3.8cm.
This is a thinly potted bowl depicting the Buddhist's eight auspicious signs which is found on the sole of Buddha's feet. They are the mystic knot, fish, wheel of the law, lotus, canopy, unbrella, conch shell and the jar. The bowl stand on a short recessed foot-rim and into a U-shaped body. At the base of foot-rim, it has the honorific four character seal mark of Qianglong reign. Cir. second half 19th century, possibly from Tongzhi period.
The bowl is in good condition...
Small tea or wine bowl, enameled in Famille rose colours with an auspicious cricket among flowers, the background a light greyish green. China, Tongzhi period, the base with some residue, possibly from an exportation seal. Height "1 ½ / 4 and diameter "2 ½/ 6 cm. Condition: fine.

Set of four Canton enamel cups & saucers and one bowl. Finely painted with flower scrolls on yellow ground in "Famille rose" palette and little gold. Interior of the bowl and bottom of the saucers enamelled in pink. Condition: fine, unless minor hairlines and few tiny chips, one saucer's bottom with enamel loss. Dimension: bowl: diameter: c. 9 x 5.3 cm high, saucers diameter: c. 11.3 cm, cups: diameter: c. 6.8 x 5.1 cm high.
Chinese 19th Century Glazed Stoneware Shipwreck Jar
Many years ago we bought a small group of jars of this type. We were told they dated to the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) and had been in storage, having several years earlier been recovered from a shipwreck off Thailand. To the base of each jar is written an inventory number (we were told around 200 of these jars were excavated but how accurate this is, we do not know)...
