A Korean Inlaid Celadon Oil Pot. Inlaid in dark and light slip with floral sprays. Probably Koryo 12/13thC. Condition; restoration to underside of rim. Glaze on shoulder missfired.
A rare Eastern Han (206 BC- 219 AD) jar with incised decoration about the collar area. All the features one wants to see are found on this rare artifact, such as root impressions, worm tracks, and traces of calcified (petrified) roots. This jar is not the typical molded type made for burial, but was actually used in real life as utilitarian ware for everyday use. The jar is in excellent condition and measures 6.5" high x 7" diameter.
Chinese Republic period shoushan (soapstone) mountain carved with trees, temples, old sages, Budai, flying birds, and an elephant all stretching along the path to the top. Custom wood stand. 9” high (10 1/2" on the stand) x about 7” wide x 2” deep. Early 20th century. Very good overall condition with some scratches in the stone and typical wear evident. 18th century Chinese bronze sculpture of a running boy holding a Precious Gem in his raised hand. Unusual image, wonderful casting and detailing - see his smiling face and knots of his robe. Excellent warm patina, 200 years worth of compressed dust on the surface, pleasantly heavy. Fixed to a beautifully carved hardwood stand. Very nice object for scholar’s desk. This is a brightly decorated and colourful famille rose medium size bowl. On top of the bowl, the rim is surround by a series of small blue colour enamelled ruyi head. At the bottom, it is surrounded by upright blue colour lappets in rectangular design. In between the ruyi head and the lappets, is alternating blooming lotus flower and green colour lotus seed pod surrounded by meandering and branching foliage...

Unusual 19th century Chinese marble brush rest suggesting a dramatic mountain with multiple arches and caves. The piece gives a good feeling of weathered mountain surfaces and quiet energy of the stone. Beautifully carved marble pierced to resemble traditional Taihu limestone, richly textured surface. Natural fissure lines in the stone, no losses or repairs. Excellent functional object for scholar’s table, can be viewed as a scholar’s rock as well. Length 5 1/2 inches.

This pair of Famille Rose Mille Fleures (thousand flowers) demitasse are late Qing Dynasty products. The saucers are 4 3/4 inches in diameter and 1 inch high, the cups are 2 1/4 inches high and 2 1/8 inches wide. They depict a large pink peony in the center while chrysanthemum, lily, hibiscus, iris and several unknown flowers cover entire bodies. The cups have bamboo design handles. There are Guang Xu (1875~1908) marks and three separate floral (peony) designs on the bottoms...
An unusual underglaze blue Chinese cricket jar with charming scenes of a scholar in garden settings. The condition is very good without chips, cracks, or hairlines. Dating circa 1900, it measures 5" across x 3.5" high.

Cast bronze vase decorated with three handles in the form of masks of mythological creatures, carrying a trunk and large ears probably inspired by an elephant. The cast work is beautiful and the finish is neat. On the lower and upper edges, two very elegant Greek friezes are discreetly and finely incised in silver. The edge of the vase is slightly split, but you can still put water in it. A nice original patina confirms the age of the object, probably 19th century or earlier...

A very rare round, domed ceramic chop ink container with paintings of "a hundred boys." The background is off-white with the paintings of the rotund little boys at play in cobalt blue. The surface is heavily crazed. Kangxi seal mark.

This is a fine, flattened, Pear shaped snuff bottle, with a round elongated neck, and a raise oval footing, decorated with a ruby red overlay on a snowflake ground, in relief, depicting various aquatic plant and sea life. A wonderful bronze opium or cigarette set inlaid with green enamel that accentuates the fine details of fish, lotus, butterflies and flowers. The box is lined with the original wood insert, which is extremely rare to find intact. All items has footed feet with blue enamel.
