An antique Chinese dehua (also known as blanc de chine) of a man riding a donkey-like animal. Unlike the normal subject matter often produced in dehua porcelain, the figure is not dressed in a Chinese manner, but in a European style. The back contains two seals: the gourd shaped seal reads: dehua and the square seal is possibly the artist name, which translates as: seal of Ke Qianzhong. Age: Late 19th -20th century. Size: height 12.75" width 5.25" length 8.75"

Antique Chinese hardwood sculpture of a scholar or sage like figure holding a ball. The figure has a contemplative expression possibly thinking of the life of a recluse, the ideal of a Chinese literati scholar. Age: 19th-20th century. Size: height 11.75" width 3.75" length 5.1"

There are three roads leading home and he carries a 'dan' (two baskets with carrying yoke)...

A fascinating large wooden plaque known as qian. The qian is often seen in Daoist temples in the form of a collection of bamboo sticks placed in a bamboo cup and devotees will shake the cup to receive their fortune or oracle from the gods. The front of the panel contains an inscription stating this qian is of the formal troop of an army emanating their highest powers (or divine powers). the back of the piece also has an inscription which most of it is lost...

This jade (jadeite) carving Bi (璧) is a late 19th or early 20th century product. It is a quarter of an inch thick and 3” in diameter. It depicts two Pixie (辟 邪) on one side and four swirling patterns on the other side. It is in great condition.

This pair of wine cups are small but absolutely beautiful. The workmanship shows off the impeccable finesse with which Kangxi potters made their wares. The cobalt blue is true and vibrant, the painting bold, and the molded shape (two layers of lotus petals!) charming.

This is one of the most well painted Kangxi "flower basket" plates I've seen, in an excellent shade of Kangxi cobalt blue. Please compare with a similar "flower basket" plate in the British Museum (Franks.221).

Antique Chinese bronze incensor with pair of peaches as lid. The body is incised with a commemorative message: indebtedness by the students, the giver of gifts, spring in the year of the dragon, one of a pair. Peaches are very important in chinese culture, they symbolize life, immortality, and good fortune. It has a hanging arm with a bat charm.
