Ming Dynasty, Ca. 1500s

This bowl is covered overall in an attractive bluish green celadon glaze except for the footring, which shows the buff-toned porcelaneous stoneware body. The glaze is somewhat unevenly applied to the exterior. The interior has a glaze bubble that popped in the firing. Acquired in the early 1980s from an antiques dealer in Alexandria, VA.

The most important first : This piece is not from Ancient Dragon House and not from Roy Hu´s Asian Art ! A very small Song Junyao bowl with slightly rounded sides and incurved rim covered with a grayish-blue glaze with an very nice splash of purplish-red to the interior of the bowl. The glaze thinning at the rim to a buff tone. The base is unglazed and is burnt reddish in the firing. Northern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) Diameter: 6,3 cm...

This late 18th century or early 19th century Chinese porcelain plate is 6 3/4 inches in diameter. It has turquoise background with legendary animals in garden design. There is Jia Qing (1796-1820) mark on the back. It is in great condition.

Opium lamp inserted in a sort of cylindrical cage. A chain attached to the top of the cage allows an easy transportation of the lamp. The lamp can entirely be taken to pieces (see photo). Brass and glass. China, 19th century. Height: 6 5/8" (17 cm). Very good condition.

Up for sale is an antique Chinese silk chair cover tapestry, vibrant red color silk and wool ground embroidered with Chinese auspicious objects, Ruyi scepter, golden pheasants, peonies, bats, peaches, magnolia, and lotus foliage, using with silk floss and gold threads; back with red silk brocade with longevity symbols. Tapestry is excellent condition. No wear or damage. Measurements: Height 63", width 19".

Chinese rank badge with a leopard set on a rocky island with flowing water and auspicious motifs surrounding the center image. The image is set on black background. Age: 20th century Size: length 14.9 width 13.9"

These rare early 19th century ceramic bowls are 2 ½” high and 6” in diameter. They depict four mythical sea creatures resting on rocks surrounded by ocean waves. The background and inside are turquoise blue. There are red “Dao Guang” (1821~1850) marks on the bottoms. Some gold edging has rubbed off from the ribbed rims. Aside from this, they are in excellent condition.

Diameter approximately 25 cm. There is a short hairline at the rim. In good condition.

Six Chinese turquoise glazed figures of immortals. Each finely moulded and standing on a square base. C19th. Ht.4 3/4" (12.1 cm). Condition; small chips to lotus leaf of first figure, chip to sleeve of second figure.

Southern Song period ( 1127 - 1279 ) Zhejiang province. Extremaly rare small cup with a superb quality opaque glaze. The exposed clay to the base turned reddish during the fiering prozess. Unfortunately the enclosed images are not able to show how amazing this piece is. Diameter : 4,6 cm. H : 2,7 cm. Condition : Amazing glaze, no chip but there is a unbelievable slight short hairline which is only to see with a 10 X lens.

Guangxu mark, ca. 1875-1908

Both finely potted bowls are covered with a lustrous clear glaze, then painted in a broad palette of overglaze enamels. The thousand flowers design, known in Chinese as jiacai (mingles colors), covers the entire exterior of each bowl from the foot to the rim. This two-handles stoneware vase's body is covered in a creamy slip glaze which is carved through with a peony design to reveal the light brown clay body. The entire vase except for the foot is covered in a very thin clear glaze enriching the tone of both slip and body. The light brown clay body is exposed on the footring and base. A small amount of burial earth adheres to the foot and base. It is in good condition.

A green glazed "celadon" stoneware vase with flattened pear-shaped body,ring handles and moulded decoration made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province in the 14th Century, during the Yuan dynasty (1279-1368).
