Three thin and lovely cups and saucers with underglaze blue reserves of landscapes, birds and couples against an iron-red and gilt background. All parts marked Mikawachi where most Hirado porcelain of the period was made. An extra saucer to go with the rest, without cost. Height of cups "2¼/ 5,8 cm, diameter of saucers "4/ 10 cm. Finely potted porcelain dish with milky white glaze, the broad border moulded with ruyi heads. The center with fine depiction of a kirin, painted in green enamel, iron red and some gold. Please refer to: "Kakiemon Porcelain - A Handbook" by Menno Fitski, No. 126. Condition: little wear to painted area, base with a star crack, rim with a short hairline and a firing default. Antique Japanese 2-section todana tansu, comprised all of Keyaki (elm) wood, with stunning, bold natural burl front panels with original, warm finish. Simplistic design with minimalistic hardware. Its two lowest sets of sliding door panels hold spacious shelved storage room within, while the top holds an open space. A small lift-away panel with an eggplant shaped handle adds a subtle touch of charm.

Beni-itajime-zome (board-clamped dyeing with safflower) han-juban (short under kimono). The body part is hand-spun cotton and the sleeves are figured silk and the wrist parts are wool muslin. This superb helmet bowl is comprised of 64 iron plates that are slightly embossed between the suji, double front plates, and a washer underneath the top front riveted inside. The bowl has been given a very dark russet finish and fitted with a simple iron visor. The meadate is a forged iron hornet with gilt brass wings. The shikkoro of five - lames of false scale laced in blue silk and brown russet lacquer...
A dark blue hemp fabric forms the base of these kote sleeve guards. The upper area is covered in iron chain mail with pair of double gourd plates, crest mon, gilt iron plates, throughout the kote. The shoulder edge has three hinge plates to fashion to the Do armor. Unusually mounted on a custom black iron stand.
