DESCRIPTION: A Chinese scholar’s calligraphy brush, the brush crafted with natural bristles encased in a horn ferrule. These are secured with a silver band to a pitted green jade handle inscribed with archaic characters and terminating in a round knob. A quality, well made brush in excellent condition, most likely dating to the latter Qing Dynasty to early republic Period. DIMENSIONS: 9 ¼” long (23.5 cm).
A conical shape bowl with fairly thickly potted, covered overall with an apple green celadon glaze. Possibly early Ming dynasty 15th century. Condition is good except a kiln chip to rim and slight warped, otherwise is perfect. Diameter: 13.6 cm.
This is Chuya-Obi used for Edo period. In Chuya-Obi, one side is twill fabrics, and other aspects are black satin. As for this, the basics of twill fabrics are dyed with a natural indigo plant. And a thread dyed with other plant dye is interwoven. The black satin side has 2.3 places of split points. The twill fabrics side has some stains, but does not stand out. This is the kimono which a girl wore for the Taisho era period. The pattern is ball and Spinning top and others. A color is pretty, and this is stylish. There are 2.3 places of small stains, but does not stand out. There is no damage. Size 92cm x 81cm (36.2 "x 31.8")
An impressive magnifying glass with a carved ivory handle with 18 natural red coral beads. We believe the ivory handle to be a Meiji period Japanese parasol handle and sometime in its history converted to a magnifying glass. In very good antique condition with all beads intact, the handle measures 5 inches x 1 1/8". Magnifying glass with handle is 10.5 inches long.
Exceptionally elegant red vermillion lacquered zen buddhist temple sutra table in its original signed and dated box. Dated Keio gannen 8 (c.1865) the tapered legs and metal fittings on the table top indicate this was made for a rich temple. 37cm tall and 53cm wide the very top is in its own cotton wrapping. Finely enamelled to the exterior with fibrant famille rose enamels with medallions with birds, sitting on flowering twigs. Nineteenth century.
Diameter : 21,8 H : 11,5 cm.
Condition : Here and there some marginal wear to the enamels, the copper bodies of the jardinieres in perfect condition.

This tripod censer is raised on three animal-masked feet that support its large, rounded body. The rim is decorated with a key fret design, and the body has ten lappets composed of stylized mask and key fret designs all in low relief. It retains its original brown patina overall with a deep greenish gray interior from use. Good condition.

Finely carved ivory Chinese napkin ring with 3 landscape carvings and an animal in each scene. Each is deeply carved, giving depth to the foliage. The 4th cartouche is left blank for monogramming. In excellent condition, it measures 1 1/8" high by 2" diameter. Circa 1900.

A Jun-type stoneware vase of archaic bronze Hu form with an octagonal body, covered overall with dark-green glazed. Condition is excellent. Late Ming to early Qing period 17th-18th century. Height: 12.2cm.
It is the Katazome cotton cloth which this was made for Edo period and was dyed on the basis of a natural indigo plant. As for this, cotton is spun by hand and is slightly thick. This has three places of repair, but does not stand out.

This was made for Edo period. And it is Katazome where a natural indigo plant, black, gray, rouge were used for.
This is the Shipo- filler of the Amaryu- dragon and a deep red pattern of the lozenges. As for this, cotton is spun by hand and is slightly thick.

Chinese Jadeite Jade hard stone carved Lotus flower shape Pendant, 1 3/8" high, 1 7/8" wide, 3/8" thick, with carved incised lines of flower pedals, some natural infusions in the stone, the condition is good.
This is an excellent example of the traditional Japanese male mask, Buaku, finely carved in the 19th century.
Buaku, is one of the character of the Japanese comic theater, Kyogen, that is commonly associated with demonic roles. Although the mask presents a fearsome expression, its nothing but a farce, because humor is at the heart of the Kyogen play.
The mask is highly detailed and polished...
This is Furosiki made in the Izumo district for Edo period. This is dyed in Katazome and Hikizome.
This is dyed in natural indigo plant and Yamamomo. This has a stain such as the image in some points. And this has some small holes. This shows old form of Izumo Furosiki. As for this, cotton is spun by hand and is thick. Size 99cm x 95cm (38.9 "x 37.4")
This is thick linen Noren used in Shonai area for Edo period.
This is dyed with a natural indigo plant densely. As for this, a brown line is cotton.
This was used in a merchant's family of Shonai. This does not have a stain and damage.
