A Very Rare Korean Unified Silla Bronze Standing Figure-8th-10th C.: $3,200 Korea, Unified Silla Period, 8th to 10th century, an old natural greenish dark black patina. It is a cast solid, standing on a lotus pedestal base and cast with drapery falling in u-shaped folds from the neck to the ankles, back cast of the figure open including its head with an old natural patina. An antique Japanese bronze temple bell known as a Bonsho with a carrying handle depicting diverging dragon heads called Ryuzu. The upper protrusions called chi chi or nye improves the resonance of sound. There are two opposing striking panels called Tsuki-za upon which the bell should be struck for the best and longest sound. Large bells such as this one are found in Buddhist temples throughout Japan and they are used to summon the monks to prayer...

Antique Tibetan flint carrying pouch (also mechag or chuck muck), made of leather with heavy plaques of silver and gold with inlaid coral front. Motifs of filigree and animals are seen through the silver plating. The backside of the pouch features a central image of a coiling silver dragon. The pouch is suspended by a red leather strap with rivets.

Black-glazed Apulian plate of shallow floor with three stamped palmettes at center. The flat lip, slightly curved on top.
Standing on a low foot in two degrees. Faint imprint from the foot of another dish on the floor.
Covered with a fine black glaze. The expert modeling and the application of a glossy black glaze suggest that the plate was inspired by metal examples.

The quality of this small elephant is excellent. Standing foursquare with head turned to one side. The body and the separately cast reliquary - monstrance inlaid, brightly enameled, multi coloured and richly ornamented. Nineteenth century or a little bit earlier. L : 14,8 cm. H : 19,4 cm Condition : Excellent with no damage. The reliquary - monstrance incomplete ( please see the last enlargement ).
