Original antique 19th century Japanese Woodblock Print by KUNISADA (AKA TOYOKUNI III, 1786-1864). Presented matted and framed. In good antique condition some surface soiling commensurate of age. Kunisada Utagawa was born in 1786 in Honjo, in the outskirts of Tokyo, the capital of Japan, then called Edo. His father died when he was about one year old. A straight bamboo stalk was well shaped into a useful walking stick.
In very good condition,the bamboo stick was preserved with nice patina and can be as firm as being used now. A new plastic plug was added at the tip.

A rare Ming Zhengde/Jiajing blue and white tripod censer decorated with two dragon and flowers at the body. there also has head of kilin at the leg and under the handle. 28cm high until end of the handle. 20cm body diameter. Conditions: Body of the censer is in good conditions. except broken at upper handle already repaired, broken at one leg has been attached back. And also we found unglazed fault from they made at the one of dragon body.(please see on the picture).

Circa 1850 Chinese export porcelain plate. In excellent antique condition, no hairlines, no chips, no cracks, no repairs, this plate measures 9.75" diameter. A terrific piece to add to your collection of fine Chinese porcelains.

This is an amazing piece of Satsuma from Yozan. The vase stands 5 1/4 inches tall and it is covered with eye straining detail. It is better than the images show and in hand has a jewel like aura. Condition is excellent.

 

19th century boxwood netsuke depicting the head of himono (gutted dried fish). Initially food taken along on a journey, dried fish came to symbolize good luck and health. Beautiful realistic carving (appears to be a head of salmon), wonderful sharp detailing, clever use of one eye as himotoshi. Superb patina on wood, in excellent condition, very pleasant to hold. Length 2.35 inches (60 mm).

Japanese Kamakura-Bori lacquer box on tray. The cover with bold, high-relief carving of bird in branch - the almost black surface rubbed to a soft, coral-red toned burnished finish. The softly irregular honeycomb textured ground with leathery texture continuing to the sides of the box bottom and into the rim of the tray with edges also rubbed to the underlying coral-red and burnished smooth. This is an authentic antique Islamic Indian Mughal fine bidri hookah base from the 18th century. It was made in India (Deccan, Bidar).
