A beautiful early Kangxi wucai enameled tankard. Decorated with a design of different types of chrysanthemums and pendant lotus petals painted in iron red on either side of basket weave borders and flower cell borders. Silver mounted around 1750. Classic Japanese Mingei folk art figure probably from a Buddhist altar or rural roadside Shinto shrine. The forearms are missing. It is darkened from incense and candle smoke. Acquired in Japan in the early 1970s.

A molded clay Buddha image encased in a lacquered wood shrine with a gilded interior. A small bronze ring on top allows attachment to the obi sash of an individual's kimono. There are some losses to the lacquer normal wear from use and handling. Acquired in Japan in the early 1970s.

A lovely and cute Japanese pickle relish dish dated to the late Meiji period (1868-1912). The type is known as geisha ware due the subject matter so wonderfully represented. It is further without chips, cracks, or any damage whatsoever. It measures 9" long x 3.25" wide.

Exterior is covered in black lacquer with silver rims encircling both the bottom and lid. The interior of the lid is decorated in very finely-painted gold and silver lacquer with a scene of fish swimming among seaweed. A small rectangular red lacquer signature in seal form is seen on the left margin of the painting. The base of the box is also signed by the artist in gold lacquer. The interior is covered overall with sprinkled gold...

This heavy wooden pillow was hand carved from a block of hard wood. A relic of the Qing dynasty during the 1800's, it would have been used more as a head rest, i.e. supporting the back of the neck so that the hair style remained undisturbed. It is carved into a series of graceful curved forms and the finish has a wonderful pattern of wear and patina. 11.5 inches x 4 x 3.25 weight 2 lbs

AN ELEGANT CHINESE PAKTONG TOBACCO PIPE, 19THC

The pipe looks a little like yellow brass in some pictures but this is a result of recent tarnishing, perhaps I should have polished it a little before taking the photographs. The base has an engraved inscription. 19th century I suspect. Especially nice is the cloud collar and the subtle shape of the base, almost peach-shape in section.

A small celadon bottle vase, decorated to the body with iron-brown spots and rising with spiral form neck. Northern Song period. Condition is good without any damaged and no restoration as well except minor glaze degradations because found from the river.Size:9,5cm high.

A small blue and white Chinese stem dish, 19th century. In excellent condition, thick unctuous glaze and nice form. This would make a nice ring or jewelry dish! It measures 4" across by 2" high.

The scene depicts Europeans (most likely Dutch traders) on what was once mistakenly thought to be Deshima Island in Nagasaki Harbor Japan, but which recent scholarship now concludes is either a scene of Holland in the Netherlands, or Gothenborg in Sweden...

This is a tall and handsome classical pouch ewer from the Liao dynasty(907-1125). It is of museum quality standing on a splay foot rim with recessed base rising upwards to a slander bulging side body with a long vertical spout with straight mouth rim and a rounded pinched handle. The whole pouch ewer is coated with dark amber glaze on a white colour slip stopping short of the splay foot rim showing the reddish colour stoneware. The stoneware pouch ewer simulates a leather form of the pouch...

Fantastic Meiji Period c.1885 earthenware storage jar from Shigaraki, one of Japan's pottery and cermics centers In Edo (17th, 18th) and Meiji Period 1868-1912. Wood fired in a 'nobori gama' climbing kiln, the natural ash glazes produce startling textures and patterns. The Shigaraki clays have 'choseki' or white stone which means long life. This nicely translucent Rose Springs was found in Colorado. It measures 1 5/16" X 11/16". It is made from a beautiful translucent waxy agate. It comes with a Jackson COA. A very nice point.
