Japanese heavy Brocade silk Shrine Uchishiki, or altar cover, Meiji period, 1868-1912, 26" x 26" square, Gold and Silver brocaded double Phoenix birds in the gold metallic background and narrow bands of egg plant color background between. Water stain in one corner on the silk backing, not in front, otherwise the condition is good, still retain the thread to keep the edges flat. There are some writings in the back, but not able to read.

Naturalistically modelled, formed from individually cast, hammered and carved sections crafted to resemble the crustacean’s shell with well chiseled details, assembled with fully articulated joints to allow lifelike mobility; signed on the belly Myochin (明珍). With a wooden storage box.

Antique small bronze Puja Chowki Stand for Indian Hindu deity -gods figurine in home shrine in the form of Bajot table with octagonal top on eight, baluster form legs 17th-18th century India.

Most of Indian homes have a separate Puja room with home shrine and “Chowkis” are small low stands to use as a pedestal for placing idols of various gods and goddesses...

A fine northern Song dynasty Ding ware white glaze lobbed flower shape dish, decorated with molded flower motif at the center, base unglazed, dish in good condition no damage, size: 13.5 cm diameter.

A Chinese Bronze Censer, Qing Dynasty. Diameter approximately 17 cm (across handles) and height approximately 13 cm. This censer has a crack around 3 cm between a foot and body. The crack has been glued (photo number 10). On a foot there's a connection from the original production (photo number 11 or 12). Good condition.

Early Northern Sung or five dybasties ding type glaze bowl with moulded flora pattern in perfect condition

Antique Japanese small ko tansu (personal chest) made of kiri (paulownia) wood with unusual and beautiful persimmon wood edging on the front. Two medium drawers are placed side by side across the top. A compartment opened by two sliding panels is on the left with three small drawers in a vertical row on the right. The bottom drawer is full width...

This is a Qing dynasty porcelain bee hive shaped water pot. It is sometimes referred to taibo zun or qizhao (chicken coop) in Chinese. The only difference for this piece is that this bee hive water pot does not have a neck with a small mouth. The domed shaped body has a countersunk base which is unglazed exposing the fine white colour porcelain. The pokka dot glazing makes the water pot glazing quite unusual and possibly a scarce item...

A very attractive ancient bronze Persian sword from "Bronze Age Persia", dating to around 1200 -800 BC

These sheets are read aloud at monastic assemblies, and topics covered could include formalities for the ordination of monks and the bestowal of their robes, the consecration of an ordination hall, celebrating the festival of the full moon, or other such instructions...

A molded clay Buddha image encased in a lacquered wood shrine with a gilded interior. A small bronze ring on top allows attachment to the obi sash of an individual's kimono. There are some losses to the lacquer normal wear from use and handling. Acquired in Japan in the early 1970s.

Antique Chinese Peking glass bowl in a brilliant yellow color. Foliate form with six sides. Each lobed section is carved with a different type of flower ranging from lotus to narcissus.

Dimensions: 3" high x 7 1/4" wide

19th century mixed material netsuke in kagamibuta (mirror lid) form. The top is mounted with a bronze or shakudo galloping horse, gilding to the eye and spots on its body, superb crisp work. Beautifully captured sense of motion, great patina, old age lines, swinging metal loop on the back for the cord, compressed dust on the surface. Length 1 3/8 inches.

Antique Chinese pair of Famille Noir porcelain vases. Tapered square form body. Each side decorated with a different scene of birds, gnarled rock formations and flowers from lotus to chrysanthemums. Glazes in greens, yellows, blues, and pinks against a black ground. Kangxi 6 character mark in Kaishu on the bottom.

Finely crafted silver necklace with Gao box hanger in solid silver mounted with polished corals and toquise stones and centrally firegilt, Tibetan, 19th to early 20th. century.

Very pure silver and wearable today. Mounted in a long twisted silver necklace. Beautiful piece!

Size: 34-35 cm. in a double row, the Gao hanger is 6 x 5 cm. and rather thick. Weight: 48,5 grams, purity: sterling silver.
