This is an extraordinarily rare bronze arrow point from ancient China. Textual references for this type are scarce as well which is a testament to the rarity of the object itself. The point has very intricately cast details and finely ground edges and points. The extra long tang is intact and appears to be as straight as the day it was made. The arrow point dates to the Warring States period of ancient China.

Very fine Tibetan Bronze Buddha Vajrasattva on wooden pedestal, 17th. century or older.

The right hand holding a vajra vertical in front of his heart center, the lowered left holding a bell. Seated in dhyana-asana. Powerful body and meek facial expression. Wearing a multi-leaved crown as well as the jewelry and clothes of an enlightened Buddhist Bodhisattva. The bell was separately casted. Bottom covered with consecration plate. Slight signs of age...

This is a set of woman's tobacco case and pipe case which are made of deer skin and has fine katazome ( stencil-dyeing ) komon pattern. The motif is pine needle. It has beautiful clasp of green bean motif which shows prominent craftsmanship in this age. The set also has a pipe, but it seems that it is not an original one as it is shorter than the case. 19th century. In good condition except for some patina. This is a very finely cast Tibetan bronze fragment dating to the 17th century or possibly earlier. It depicts a wrathful deity, possibly Vajrabhairava, complete with finely modeled skull crown/tiara to the wrathful head. Please have a look at the photos and feel free to ask any questions. the piece measures 2.5" in height (6.25cm), not including the custom base. Exceptionally well cast with very fine detail. Not easy to find these days

Important dish, very decorative, in porcelain enamelled in polychrome, underglaze blue and gold, Imari, decorated with chrysanthemums and peonies in reserves of different shapes. Period: Meiji (1868-1912). Diameter: 63cm.

Cast bronze vase decorated with three handles in the form of masks of mythological creatures, carrying a trunk and large ears probably inspired by an elephant. The cast work is beautiful and the finish is neat. On the lower and upper edges, two very elegant Greek friezes are discreetly and finely incised in silver. The edge of the vase is slightly split, but you can still put water in it. A nice original patina confirms the age of the object, probably 19th century or earlier...

Large Campanian guttus decorated with four red-figure palmettes and applied white. On top a hollow sieve aperture with pierced holes.

Salt box with its lid, of rectangular shape, decorated with incised geometric design on its sides, and geometric, partly in relief, design on its lid. An opening on the lid allows a spoon (now missing) to rest inside the box. Nepal, 19th century. Length: 18,7 cm. Height: 11 cm. Some erosion due to age, otherwise very good condition. Collected in Nepal in the early seventies.

This is sashiko Indigo dye cotton noragi hanten at the Meiji era(1868-1912). There is a repair mark in the sleeve and the back. However, it is very good overall. I recommend it for your collection. size:120cm x 132cm (47.2" x 52")

Sourced from an old estate, this pair of lotus shoes came with a hand written tag/label sewn to the back of one heel and a red paper the shape of the inner sole place inside on of the shoes. The paper is at the point flaking and disintegrating and the writing is in old Chinese and no longer readable. Because of the "tag and label, I suspect that these shoes were presented as a "gift" to a Western missionary, teacher or friend...

A Japanese porcelain plate decorated with a dignitary beneath a parasol, attended by his servant, in a garden. The cavetto is unusually decorated with a continuous landscape, a device not often encountered on Arita porcelain. The use of linear shading is reminiscent of Chinese “Master of the Rocks” style. Arita, circa 1680~1700.

The back is entirely plain with four spur marks within the foot-rim...

This is an 18th-19th century Turkish Ottoman Islamic tinned copper ewer. The bulbous body rises from a short foot to a tapering neck. It has a hinged domed lid terminating in a foliate knop, an elegant S-shaped handle, and a curved spout.

Antique seated bronze Buddha in Maravijaya and Virasana, made in the late 16th or early 17th century in Chiang Mai Northern Thailand.

It shows a rare high quality bronze, very heavy, solid and shiny with rests of gilt.

The statue is our property since 1938 and was exhibited in our private home since that time.

Predominantly hollow inside and nevertheless 6,5 kg heavy.
