A large, well potted Armorial bottle with lid for the Spanish Market. Decorated in Famille-Rose enamels with a floral design and the arms of Spain.
Late Qing to the Republican Period . Iron red mark to the base of the bottle.

Early 18th century tea bowl and saucer, decorated in "imari" style in under glaze blue and over glaze iron red, depicting four-clawed dragons amongst cloud scrolls in pursuit of flaming pearls. This item was made for export to Europe during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). Condition - there is a 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) hair line running from the saucer dish rim (see enlargements 5 and 6); there is the usual rim fritting and there is wear to the over glaze gilding...
A very large Yuan dynasty longquan celadon dish, rounded side with flatted raise rim and glazed base, dish decorated with carved large flower motif at interior and vertical ribbing suggesting flower petal motif at inner wall, dish covered with green glaze.
Dish is in very good condition, no chip, no crack, no restoration.
Size: 41 cm diameter.
This massive mid or late 19th century white jade (nephrite) carved Ru-Yi scepter is 18 ½” long, 5 ½” wide (from the widest part) and 3” high (from the highest part). The whole scepter was carved from a single piece of nephrite. The carving depicts mythical figures, animals and buildings surrounded by clouds. Aside from some natural flaws in the stone, it is in excellent condition.
Chinese famille rose vase combinations with celadon glazed. Blue and white qianlong mark at the base. Qing dynasty. 33 cm high. Vase in good conditions except two head of the bird on the ear ring has been repaired.

This genuine late Ming - Transitional blue and white dish is extraordinary, because in the design of this dish there come 3 different styles together.
The front design is executed in the Transitional style, the back site of this dish is painted in the Ming Jiajing style, and the mark in the center is the Imperial Ming Xuande mark !
Very nice glaze and kobalt blue.
2 small nearly not visiable hairlines.

- The Buffalo Dance my be given during the interval between the Soyal or Solistice Ceremony and the Powamu or Bean Dance. Usually, two girls and two boys dance as Buffalo and Buffalo Girl accompanied by a large male chorus. It is one of the dances most frequently seen off reservation.

There are said to be various types who have the same songs but my informants could not name or describe them all. The feather headdress made of four eagle feathers, two projecting horizontally above each ear, seems to be characteristic of all kachinas called Rügan...
A Hopi polychrome wood Kachina doll depicting Hólolo, circa 1915-1920. Description from Colton, "Case mask painted green or brown, with pop eyes, snout, cheeks painted with half moons or small circles. Douglas fir or juniper ruff. Kilt, sash, fox skin, and green moccasins. Body painted red with yellow shoulders, forearms and lower legs. Carriers rattle and bow and arrows. Appears in kivas in spring or in Mixed Kachina Dance." Good Condition consistent with age, some paint loss...
A very rare pear-shaped vase - Yuhuchunping - finely painted with black enamel on "biscuit" (un-glazed) porcelain depicting two five clawed dragons above waves, and amongst clouds and flames, in pursuit of pearls. This item was probably made during the reign of the Daoguang emperor (1821-1850) and is possibly a reject from the imperial kilns. This 19th century red (almost ox-blood) glazed brush washer has fine crackles covering the entire body and a splash of green sheen in the middle. It is 4 ¼ inches in diameter and 1 ¼ inches high. There are a few small chips on the bottom. Good condition.
