A Pair of antique, 19th-early 20th century, North African -Sahara, tribal Islamic, cast bronze saddle stirrups in Turkish Ottoman manner. Each with a flaring base plate narrowed at the center and decorated with a pierced designee on the center, flanked by shaped sides rising to an arch with loop for suspension.

Japanese antique Satsuma ware incensor in the form of a fudog with a child on top of a drum on his back, very charming, drum is painted with images of children, Meiji Period. Size: 5 3/4" high x 5" long.

Hand-sashiko is a hand-spun, moderately soft cotton cloth dyed with high-quality indigo dye. The good color of natural indigo dyeing and the stabbed with soft hand-spun cotton cloth make a beautiful change with moderate effort. It is the tranquility used by wealthy farmers in the Shonai region during the Edo period. 19th century or earlier Japanese sword set of fuchi (bordering piece between the sword guard and the handle) and kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt of a sword) with design of geese in flight over fishing boats with woven roofs and oars moored among reeds in the marshes. Excellent set in Japanese taste with wonderfully captured mood of autumnal melancholy. Very well made, some wear to gilding. Kashira length 1.41 inches, fuchi length 1.48 inches.

Mingei jizai with Keyaki wood carved folding fan, hard-wrought iron chain, and a clover ring and hook. Unusual small size making for a charming sculptural item. Originally used to hold and suspend tetsubin (tea pot) over coals for heating.

A substantial and attractive vessel in pinkish travertine with fine inclusions, Uruk/Jemdet Nasr - Early Dynastic, 3300-2700 BC.

The bulbous vessel with a finely polished exterior and with a broad flat rim.

The stone used is a rare pinkish travertine with fosil remains and lighter cream inclusions, large areas of dark deposts and patina.

Antique Korean painting, very tall and narrow, of a pair of phoenix birds, one occupying the upper portion of the painting and the other one on the bottom. The lower phoenix emerges from water as shown by a blossoming lotus. The rest of the space surrounding both birds is filled with robust peony blossoms of different color. Painted in rich mineral colors on paper. Later put into a custom lacquered wood frame.

The magical phoenix is called Bonghwang in Korea...

Large single-handled cup covered with fine quality black gloss inside and out. The deep bowl with an almost flat, inward sloping rim. Discoloration on the floor with the imprint from the foot of another cup. Standing on a low ring foot with reserved underside.

A classic Nanban style Japanese lacquer tray decorated with mother of pearl inlay featuring four panels of birds among floral patterns separated by bands and frets dating from the 17th century later Momoyama to early Edo era. It is 43 × 28.5 x 2cm (17 x 11 x 1 inches). It has been fully restored, with repairs to the original lacquer and inlay, and the underside has been re-lacquered. A late Ming Wanli blue and white large bottle vase, rounded side with pear shape and glazed base, vase decorated with under glaze blue of galoping horse and flower motif divided with horizontal band, ruyi cloud motif on the neck.
Vase is in good condition with restoration on the upper part, rare to find similar vase in very large size.

A Korean soapstone box that has a square section carved out for the ink pad plus space to store soapstone seals. The box is cut out of one block of red soapstone measuring about 4 3/4"w x 3 5/8"d x 3"h. The red block is marbled with white and gray grains and spots. The top of the box is inlaid with the Chinese character for double happiness. The condition is very good with no repairs. There are some small chips from use, and the largest loss is to the side of one of the feet...
