Late Ming Dynasty (beginning of the 17th century) small fine celadon jade plaque for sawing onto clothes with carved design of a Chinese Immortal wearing a long robe and holding a tall staff. Beautiful material, true nephrite jade, nice work, wonderful feel of age. Height 1.27 inches, weight 7.2 grams.

Early 1900s turquoise snuff bottle with a landscape scene having carved openwork and just loads of things going on. A very fine colored turquoise with a wonderful surface polish. It is presented on an equally fine earlier zitan, or similar, wood stand. Both are in excellent condition. A bronze vase finely cast in archaic Chinese style with twin elephant head handles and very unusually decorated with 16th Century Turkish Iznik/ Kutahya style 'Saza' leaves in red, blue, green and black enamels...

Width approximately 13.5 cm (across the handles). There are traces of 3 holes, already patched at the bottom. More pictures are available.

Tatougami which was used at the pawnshop for wrapping pawned items. The name of the shop is "koyama Shichi-ten" and it has the shop's logo "小" in the square. It is a few layers of old washi (handmade paper) pasted together and painted with kakishibu (persimmon tannin) for strength and waterproof. Shichiya (pawn shop) appeared in Kamakura period and developed much in Edo period. 19th century. 32cm x 81cm

It is 4.85 inches (12.3 cm) tall by 3.5 inches (9 cm) wide. It is 1 Lb.

It is tarnished and has rust, loss of gilding, oxidation, bent at the rim, re-solder ear, finial, and foot, gap at one foot, and surface wears and scratches. The finial is probably not original (as seen in the photos).

A very rare antique Japanese Funa Tansu (captain's ship chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Kirinoki (Paulownia) woods with a Urushi lacquer finish. All original hand made iron fittings with strapping over the top, sides and back of the chest. Unusual bottom hinged door design where the right door opens to two drawers behind and the left pho hinged door slides across revealing a small drawer and another pho drawer. This pho drawer is actually a cover that hides a Kirinoki wood pull out box...

This exquisite ancient artifact is a bronze sword from the North-Western Asiatic "Amlash" region, which dates back to the 10th-8th century B.C. The sword was discovered in the vicinity of the Caspian Sea area and is a rare find. The intricate design of the hilt is formed of two segments, with the grip featuring a square section. The disk pommel is extended to a conical molding, making it visually striking...

The seal is engraved with a man lifting his weapon, probably sword besides two fighting ibexes.

Good Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain bowl with boatmen on a lake shore, clear drawing and consistent cobalt blue color. There are a couple of hairlines, noted in enlargements as well as frits caused by bubbles under the glaze on the rim. D: 13.6cm/5.3in and H: 5.2cm/2in.

Large Thai painting. Paint on paper backed on to material and framed. Ex collection of Dr Henry Ginsburg, curator of Thai collections in the British Library, London. Richly glazed in deep blue this Chinese jar has a dark brown glazed interior to accommodate liquid storage. The lid has an embossed Chinese symbol for longevity which suggests to me the jar's intent was to store something special for your health and well being. Featuring a wonderful globular shape, the jar and lid are in excellent condition. Measures 4 inches high, 5" diameter. Dates early 20th C
