A very beautiful and finely potted ewer of gourd shaped from the Song dynsty.

Very good condition. No restoration, chip, crack or hairline. Because of one of the small stone pit standing on the base, it does not stand totaly flat. However this does not affect the beauty and aesthetic shaped of the gourd shaped ewer. Nice gloss and colour.

The dimesnsion of the gourd shaped ewer: the height is 13cm and the width is 12 cm. The base width is about 6cm.

Pair of small Ming dynasty Longquan celadon vases of compressed pear-form with flaring foliate form mouth decorated on opposing sides with low moulded relief leafy floral decoration. A pair of s-shaped handles are on each side of the neck. The celadon glaze with olive tint ends at the slightly flaring unglazed foot which has burnt orange from firing. The recessed base is glazed. This piece was excavated at the site near Hanoi, however the condition is very excellent, this type of tea bowl that had high stand, had been used at the court. A Cambodian, brown glaze lime-pot in the form of an owl with molded beak, eyes and tail. Age:,circa. 12-13th Century, Bayon Period. Apart from chip on base, it is in overall good condition. High resolution images may be emailed on request.

This is a greenish glazed bowl dated to the Northern Song Dynasty. It stands on a short foot rim with a recess base. On the cavetto, it is divided into four sections of incised abstract cloud like drawings. It has a shade of greenish-grey glaze.

The bowl is in very good conditions with the glaze intact. There is a small chip as shown in picture 3. It has an overglaze on it. Other than that, in the center of the bowl it has a samll sand grits and bits from the incised motives...

antique chinese ceramic stoneware 7373 400. Pair of lovely light turquoise pastel blue Qingbai glazed jars with lotus leaf shaped lids circa 1200 CE, which would put them on the cusp of Southern Song/Yuan Dynasties. The lids have been heavily restored- so please see enlargements but the jars are in good condition with no damage. H: 16.5cm/6.5in and D: 12cm/4.8in.

This is said to be a Guan type brush washer of Southern Sung period, probably from Guan Kiln as the paste is more porous.

Song Dynasty Jun ware brush shaper or brushwasher. This was originally the base of flower vase which was later reworked into a scholar’s object. The brown clay indicates this was fired in Henan and in my opinion is representative of the kind that was acquired for the Imperial Qing collection rather then the more typical bowls and saucers. The top surface has more discoloration and minor scratches which indicates, that the repurposing was done some time ago...

From our Early Chinese Collection, a large and magnificent Southern Song Dynasty qingbai funerary urn (960 - 1279 AD). Based upon published and nearly identical examples dated to 1209 AD, we can probably safely date this piece closer to circa 1190 - 1230 AD...
