This late 19th century Chinese carved ivory Guan Yin (goddess of mercy) is 11 ½ inches tall, 2 ½ inches wide and 2 ¼ inches thick. She is standing on a double lotus base. One hand is holding prayer beads, the other is holding a lotus. The workmanship and the quality of the ivory are superb. Besides a few small hairline cracks, it is in excellent condition.

This late 19th century Chinese carved ivory statue is 8 ½ inches tall and 3 ¼ inches at its widest part. It depicts a sage sitting under a pine tree holding a teacup and a book. A young servant holds a teapot standing at his side. The seal on the bottom ¡° Great Ming, Chan Hua¡± is merely an honorific seal. It is in good condition.

This early 20th century Japanese Mokugyo (Buddhist wood drum) is 6 ½ inches long, 5 ½ inches wide and 4 ¼ inches high. It is signed ¡°Gyokurin¡±. It came with a square 8 ½ inch red cushion and a wood mallet (quite possibly, it is a replacement). It is in good condition.

This late 19th century Chinese garlic head vase is 6 ¼ inches tall and 3 ½ inches at the widest part. There are two pictures on the lower body of the vase, the rest of vase is covered with a flower and leaf design. One scene depicts a young man riding on a boat to meet a lady who is waiting for him near a river. Another scene depicts a child and a crane in front of a hut which fronts a lotus pond. The mark on the bottom reads ¡°JING DE ZHEN, TIAN ZHU TANG¡±...

This early 20th century carved ivory statue is 8 inches tall (with base, it is 9 inches tall), 4 ½ inches wide and 2 inches thick. The scene depicts three ladies chatting in front of a pine tree. There is a mountain surrounded by clouds and a palace on the top of the mountain. This statue is carved from three assembled pieces of ivory. It is in good condition.

This carved reticulate nephrite is 6 ½ inches long, 2 ½ inches wide and a quarter of an inch thick. It has a traditional Chinese motif which includes a dragon, flowers, a vine and characters. The meaning of these four characters is ¡°celebrating happy events and long life¡±. The workmanship is just wonderful. It was carved in two layers which makes it even more interesting. There are a few small chips on the sides. It is in good condition.

This early 20th century carved jadeite lady is 6 ¾ inches tall (with base, it is 8 inches tall), 2 ½ inches wide and I inch thick. It depicts a lady holding a branch of flowers. A crane is standing next to her. It is in great condition.

This Chinese Tong Zhi period (1862~1874) small porcelain bowl is 2 inches tall and 3 ½ inches in diameter. It depicts colorful flowers, such as roses, plum blossoms, chrysanthemum and insects, such as a grasshopper and cricket over a white background. Some of the gold rim has worn off because of its age. It is in great condition.

Japanese folk art, farmer's clay doll: 13"h x 13 1/2"

This type of clay dolls are somehow all originated from the Fushimi clay doll of the Kyoto area. Fushimi dolls were originally sold as souvenirs to the pilgrims on the road of Fushimi Kaidou from Kyoto to Fushimi Inari Shrine in the early Edo period (1600-1868). By the end of 19th century, these dolls were made all over Japan...

This is an old Japanese towel rack, sometimes called a children’s kimono stand. The metal work is in traditional style and the mounts have been used on many different kinds of lacquer pieces throughout the Edo period. The chrysanthemum mons (family crests) on each end of the mount, were used by the Emperor, royal princes and others outside the Imperial family, in a variety of forms. Although the 16 petal mon was designated for use by the Imperial family, others were entitled to use it...

Extremely nice Chinese silverwork artefact. A so called lock pendant. My field is porcelain and unfortunately I am not so familiar with silverwork. Although I am confident, that it is Quing dynasy, this extremely nice work looks a littlebit like it would be a Yuan Dynasty piece. Excavated at Sangihe Island north Sulawesi Indonesia. Ming Dynasty 16th century brown glazed dragon-jar for the trade with Borneo. This nice not to big jar was found in a Borneo longhouse. H : 9 inc. Small chip to the rim but still very nice condition.
