This is a medium size bamboo brush pot with a mountain scenery. It is very well carved with many fine details. It even has the name of the mountain with scrolling heavenly clouds at the top and then with the pine and bamboo tress set behind a mountainous background. This glass decanter was produced in Europe in the late 19th century in the area then known as Bohemia. It has no signature or marking. It is 10 inches high, including the stopper, and 5 3/4 inches wide. The glass is hand blown crystal. Inside the cut stopper is a teardrop bubble. The handle is applied. The decoration is hand enameled cherries, leaves and branches. There is gold trim on the rim and handle.

large-scale Edo period example (circa 1800) of Musha-ningyo warrior dolls for
the Boy's Day display. Takenouchi is depicted kneeling and holding the baby Ojin in his arms. He has an unusually animated and well-rendered
face, with fine gofun lacquer and painted features. Both figures have rich silk brocades in near mint
