A graceful stepped strap-handled pitcher of lead glass, featuring trailed threading at the rim, and engraved "RFE" with vines above ribbons, the reverse with flowering vines.

The condition is excellent, with no flaws to speak of. Good color and tooling. Snapped rough pontil. The height is 7 1/4".

An Iranian papier-mache box with polychrome and gold decoration under a lacquered varnish. The domed lid painted with a young couple embracing, the six sides with mihrab shaped cartouches, showing figures or flowers. Condition: particularly rims with little wear and laquer losses. An antique gunpowder flask called Barutdan was crafted in the 18th century in the Islamic Indo-Persian region. The flask is made of high-quality tooled tanned leather and adorned with intricate designs characteristic of the region's artistic flair.

The flask features an iron suspension loop and a leather strap. These allow it to be easily carried and used while hunting or engaging in battle.

A fine solid bronze figure of a Rooster / Cockerel, ca. 10th.-12th. century AD.

A beautiful figure, sculptured in the round in a naturalistic manor, very attractive and scarce.

The Rooster has finely engraved feathers on the body and tail. A hole at the top for the loose mohawk which is now missing.

18th century kokutan (ebony) netsuke of a shishi (Buddhist lion) crouching by rockery. Strong early carving, nicely captured playful attitude of the beast, unusual raised umbrella-like bushy tail. Large deep himotoshi, great patina with characteristic ebony sheen. Length 1 7/16 inches.

A common form of pitcher made by the Tucker factory in Philadelphia around 1830. It is unmarked as is often true for Tucker, but the form is theirs, the decoration typical of their floral work and the gilding similar to other Tuccker pitchers. 9 3/8 inches (24 cm) tall.

Condition; Terrible, dropped, broken, not particularly well re-glued and having a few cracks associated with the breaks. Firing flaw across the handle with an associated crack. Gilding wear on the handle...

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this fragmented, but still lovely Egyptian blue faience offering cup with cartouche. The back and part of the lower portion is missing, however the front containing the cartouche of the pharaoh is still intact. The cartouche is highlighted in black and appears to contain the cartouche of Amenhotep. The vessel measures 2" in height, plus the size of the base. 18 English Mintons Porcelain Bread & Butter Plates, 6 1/4" diameter, 7/8" high, Brilliant etched raised gold rim on wider Cobalt Blue border. "Mintons Est. 1793 England" in purple, "g6262" in red on the bottom include impressed mark, and the condition of gold is in excellent condition.

Seal ring, its bezel of square shape with an incised design representing a helmeted king riding a "lamassu". Bronze, with partly encrusted reddish-green patina. Mesopotamia, Neo-Assyrian Empire, 10th to 7th century B.C. Bezel dimensions: 18 x 18 mm. Height of the ring: 24 mm. Inside diameter: 18 mm. Good condition. NOTE: a lamassu is a protective deity having a human head, the body of a bull or a lion, and sometimes wings.

A nice bronzeage paalstaff type of mid bronzeage axe, dating to the mid-late 2nd. millenium BC.

The axe was cat with a long ridge to secure it to the pole / shaft and out-swayed edge.

This ceramic box with brass mounts was produced in France by Gien around 1875. It is 6 1/2 inches high and has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches. The ceramic is soft paste with a tin glaze similar to majolica. If you run your fingers around the piece, you can actually feel the enamel painting. It is richly decorated with cherubs, fountains, and ornate scrolls, all on a cobalt blue background. The designs are all hand painted. There is a piece of fruit for the finial on the top of the lid...

A rare stoneware pitcher with salt glaze. Full-bellied shape with wide conical neck and flat handle. The base is festooned with “thumb” marks. The body is decorated with three medallions depicting a woman. A type called Trichterhalskrug in German. This stoneware pitcher was made in the Siegburg region in the 15th/16th century. It is covered with a fine salt glaze.
