An 800 Silver (German) Four Footed Center Bowl, circa 1895. It has Extensive Repoussee Designs on the Inside Rim and the Center of the Bowl Depicting Romantic Scenes, Possibly Court or Royalty Related. It weighs 11.8 Troy ounces and measures 9" across by 2" high and is in excellent condition.

This pair of Chinese late Ming Dynasty (1368~1644) blue and white vases (Mei Ping) are 10 ¼” high and 5” on the widest part. Aside from some dark spots and blisters due to firing, they are in excellent condition.

This early 20th century Chinese carved jadeite lady is 4 ¾” high, 1 ½” wide and 1 ¼” thick. It depicts a lady holding a silk box containing several volumes of books. The natural grain of the stone is apparent. It is in great condition.

Chrysanthemums cascade gracefully down the mirror black ground of this 4.125" early Namikawa Yasuyuki cloisonne vase. Though unsigned, it is definitely the work of Namikawa.

This small 19th century Chinese carved nephrite cup is 3 ¼” long 1 ½” high and 1 ¾’ on its widest part. The cup was carved to look like an old bronze vessel. A dragon (or beast) head is carved on the top of the handle and belt like “Ru Ding” design encompasses the entire body. Aside a tiny indentation on its rim, it is in great condition.

This early 20th century large export carved ivory goddess of mercy (GuanYin) is 18” high (with carved wood stand it is 20 ½” high), 4” wide and 3” thick (measured from the base). Her right hand holds a branch of willow leaves; her left hand carries a basket filled with lotus blossoms. A phoenix is standing on her side and a tiny sitting Buddha with a fire halo is in her dark, braided hair. There is an honorable Qian Long mark carved on the bottom. It is in excellent condition.

Signed Adachi Kinjiro, this 6" vase features colorful silver wire enamel hydrangea and leaves over a base of emerald foil chips. A stunning example of different styles of cloisonne workmanship, the piece is in excellent condition.

A genuine late 17th to mid 18th century hand made openwork European grade sterling pierced strainer or ladle with a gilded bowl. This unusual 8" ladle has a gilt and pierced 2-3/8" x 2" bowl with a pouring lip, and would be a slightly higher than 800 grade silver. The openwork handle has wonderfully ornate hand made wire-work with two central medallions, which have never been engraved/monogrammed. Words can hardly describe this spectacular Art Pottery centerbowl, made by Amphora Work Riessner, Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, with the 1918-1939 Riessner company mark ); also marked 20122, 43, and C. The large ivory basketweave bowl with delicate applied flowers is supported by beautifully modeled figures of a boy and girl in pastel drape. Condition: Restored; very minor _ in. hairline crack in boy’s hair, firing crack on base. Measurement: 14 _ in. diam x 11 _ in. high.

This is a rare Victorian sterling diner’s napkin hook with a patent date of 1879. A real conversation starter! Diner’s napkin hooks have been in existence since the 17th century, but were all the rage during the Victorian era. To keep from spilling food on their finery, gentlemen simply attached their napkin to the clip on one end and then put the small hook over the top of their collars. Condition: excellent. Measurement: 2 _ in. long.

Relics of the Nile is thrilled to present this superb large Egyptian falcon-shaped sarcophagus with corn mummy inside. The sarcophagus comes complete with only minor insect holes to the bottom of the piece, which do not detract. This is a fabulous Victorian sterling ladies’ card case for that special collector, marked "sterling and "W&H" for the well-known New York silversmiths Wood & Hughes. Very nice Ming Dynasty Chenghua period ( 1465 - 87 ) blue and white small cup with a for Chenghua typical waterplant design. H : 4,8 cm. There is a big chip ( please look enlargements )but further in a very good condition - another challenge for the restorers among my clients.

A nice challenge for each restorer. Early Ming Dynasty Zhengtong period ( 1436 - 49 ) blue and white dish with a extraordinary nice and rich decoration. The old unprofessional gluings can be open again trough to cook in water. D : 20 cm.

We believe that is is a Royal Rudolstadt Urn, despite the lack of a mark. It is decorated with florals, with a gilt handle and sits on a pedestal base. It is 13" high and it is in excellent condition. Late 19th century.

This pair of Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Mille Fleurs (thousand flowers) plates are 1 ¼” high and 9 ¾” in diameter. They depict a large pink peony in the center and chrysanthemum, lily, hibiscus, iris and several unknown flowers cover both plates. There are Guang Xu (1875~1908) marks and three separate floral (peony) designs on the bottoms. The workmanship is elegant. The gold edging on the rims has slightly rubbed off. Aside from this minor wear, they are in great condition.

This superb Japanese Meiji Period (1868~1912) oblong cloisonné plate is 8 1/8” long, 6 7/8“ wide and ½” thick. It depicts two flying cranes, peonies and chrysanthemums on a burgundy background. It is in excellent condition.

A very nice pair of 19th century wooden Russian Easter eggs handpainted with traditional motifs. One egg is brightly painted with a maiden wearing peasant clothing and the traditional kokoshnik headdress. The reverse side is painted with the letters “XB” for Khristos Voskrese (“Christ Is Risen”). The other egg is painted with a scene of a peasant woman walking through a birch forest toward her log hut. This egg, too, is painted with “XB”...

This late 19th century small Famille Rose brush holder is 4 ¼” tall and 2 ¾” in diameter. It depicts a young boy is trying to light fire crackers. An older girl is covering the ears of another frightened boy. The workmanship is simple and elegant. There is a maker’s mark on the bottom which reads “Xin Yuan Xuan made this.” It is in excellent condition.

This Qing Dynasty Guang Xu Period (1875~1908) Famille Rose seal box is 2” high and 3” in diameter. It depicts two young boys riding on Qi Ling (or Ki Ren, a legendary animal, usually related with young male), another is pushing a cart, carrying a symbolic officer’s hat. There are small floral designs on the rim. Aside from one old chip inside the box and a couple of small chips on the bottom, it is in fairly good condition.

This late 19th century Chinese Famille Rose leaf shape tile is 9 ¾” long, 8 ¼” on the widest part and a quarter of an inch thick. It depicts Emperor Wusu wearing armor and holding his hands in front of his chest. Aside from one small chip on the rim, it is in great condition.

This Qing Dynasty Guang Xu period (1875~1908) carved bamboo brush holder is 6 ¾” high, 5” in diameter and ½” thick. It depicts Chinese sages’ daily life. Some are chatting with each other; some are reading in a hut; and some are walking across a bridge...

A Hand Painted Bavarian chocolate set for the Late 19th century.Consists of a Chocolate of Coffee Pot (9.5") and Six Cups (3.25". The Design Consists of Hand Painted Florals. There are a few small wear spots on the bottom edge of the cups, but otherwise it is excellent condition.

Excavated in Kalimantan, Borneo. The piece is small, like most of the Song Geyao items, the shape is like Song, the glaze is like Song, but the clay ( porcelaneous ) looks different, and so unfortunately I have to be confident, that it must be a 18th century piece. What is confusing, is, that the piece was excavated together with some broken, ordinary Song pieces, and that there have not been found any other Qing material at this lokation. Rare korean Choson period blue and white dish. ( 18th - 19th cetury ) Very nice condition - if you look very close, you see 1 very short fiering crack and 1 very small chip, which also seems to date to the time of production. Diameter : 20,2 cm.

A large Dresden Porcelain Ewer by Sitzendorf (Thuringia, Germany). It is heavily decorated with puttis and weighs 4 lbs. 10 oz. and measures 15" high x 7" wide. It dates from 1887-1896. There is a slight chip on the hoof below the lip of the ewer, otherwise in excellent condition.

This piece shows a well known motiv of a Han dynasty story-teller with a drum. The piece is old ( excavated ), but I am confident, that it is not from the Han Dynasty, because I never have seen a glaze like this among Han items. It could be anything - the clay ( stoneware ) is a littlebit like Song, but it also could be a Qing dynasty piece with a Han motive. Unfortunately I am not so familiar with pieces like this - like we all I do know the motive from Han dynasty pieces, but thats all - I...

Ming Dynasty Hongzhi period ( 1488 - 1505 ) blue and white bowl. Very nice glaze and kobalt blue. The waterplant design on the inside of the bowl reminds on the typical waterplant desing of the earlier Chenghua pieces. Nice condition - no cracks, repaired rim fritting at one part of the rim which is viseable at enlargement 6. Diameter : 15 cm.

This beautiful bed, circa 1860, is exquisitely carved rosewood. It has deep, three-dimentional lilies of the valley, along with other flowers and ornaments. It measures 7 feet tall x 58" wide x 80" long. We have a double matress on it now, but there is room both in the length and wide for a larger matress to be made. This beautiful bed is in terrific original condition.

Beautiful flame mahogany dressing table with marble top, all in excellent original condition. This lovely table is transitional from Empire to Victorian, circa 1870. It has a shell stretcher, and perfectly matched flame mahogany drawers. It measures approximately 73 1/2" tall x 39 1/2" wide x 23" deep.

One of the best back bars ever, this measures almost 12 feet tall and almost 20 feet long! It is made of cherry and walnut burl, American, circa 1880's. There are three leaded glass windows, two as cabinet doors, and one as center top, supported by marble pillars. This late 19th century Japanese gold lacquered tortoise shell box is 5 inches long, 2 ½ inches wide and 1 inch thick. On one side, it depicts an eagle resting on a plum tree and a sparrow flying over a river on the other side. The workmanship is precise and elegant. Except for a few tiny chips and scratches due to its age, it is in good condition.
