Flashes of red decorated the scorred and scarred dark glazed body of this Chawan by Gomi Kenji enclosed in the original signed wooden box and dating to 2021. The form is slightly belted, to allow the bowl to settle comfortably into the palm. The very traditional silhouette however has been paddled and graffiti structures scratched into the surface.

A wonderful tea bowl by important Mino artists Ando Hidetake enclosed in the original signed double wooden box titled Ko-mino (old) Chawan. The feldspathic glaze has been burnt and changed by contact with the flame, the crystallized surface varying in shades from yellow to pale green. This is a great example of the style of this artist who is known for radical textures and natural effects.

Fine Bizen sake set by Prefectural Intangible Cultural Property of Okayama (Bizen); Isezaki Mitsuru (b. 1934). Mitsuru is the brother of Living National Treasure, Ningen Kokuho, Isezaki Jun and uncle of Isezaki Koichiro. He is widely exhibited and published and has won the prestigious Kaneshige Toyo Prize for his work.
