A small Chinese agate carving of a tiger and her cub set on a wooden stand with motif of bamboo carved along with jagged rocks. The combination of bamboo and tigers in Chinese art can be seen as early as the Ming dynasty. The tiger, often represented as the king of the earth combined with bamboo a symbol of the mind of a literati, can be seen as the ideals of the individual. Wonderful 1960’s sterling silver concho belt by a very fine Navajo silversmith of N.P, c. 1950s-60s.

Unusally large and heavy plus very ornate with particularly fine select large torquise stones mounted on 12 Conches and the massive buckle.

The belt measure 130 cm. length and weighs 932 grams, almost a kilo. Probably the largest we've seen for sale and the high weight must be due to the larger size of the Conchos and buckle.

Japanese miniature black Raku Tea Bowl or Chawan in signed wooden box, Ca. 1980, the tea bowl measures 1 3/8" high, 2 1/8" diameter-top rim, impressed mark "Raku near the bottom and also top and inside the box, enclosed the paper information of the area of the kiln and how they made. Kiln crack on the white clay area where the impressed mark is located, but not on the black glaze inside the bowl.

Japanese plaster and paper mache mask of a Boddhisattva (Bosatsu in Japanese), a Buddhist monk who has reached a high level of enlightenment. The mask has long earlobes, typical of a holy being in Buddhism, green lacquered hair pulled into two buns, and golden lacquer skin with traces of black lacquer. Early 20th century. Very long antique Chinese necklace with Baltic amber beads, some carved, in dark butterscotch and cognac colors. Guaranteed genuine natural amber. The beads are mostly opaque. The color is dark orange to dark cognac. Smooth round beads are spaced with larger carved beads along the strand, which is hand knotted, with a goldtone filigree clasp. This piece has probably been restrung with the newer clasp in the last 20 or 30 years. The beads are early 20th century, probably originally prayer beads...

Before Contact, the eastern region of Canada was populated with the MicMac (aka Mic Mac, Mi'kmaq) tribal group of the Algonquian Nation. This traditional vintage circular trinket box is made from birch bark and decorated with porcupine quill work. There are a some broken/missing quills around the side of the box. measure 4.5 inches diameter and 2.5 inches high

This rare jar has a wide mouth over a short neck with the ovoid body tapering to a short foot. Song dynasty, Henan wares.

These types of jars are made by using clays of two different colours. The top and bottom are then made separate and joined together horizontally.
