This Chinese yixing teapot was handcrafted in 80' but has a nice old shape with a patina purple clay color. It's in excellent condition with the imprint of the artist signature "Ding Shan Ren".

This is a nice Chinese yixing bell shape marked GONG JI teapot. The teapot has a nice patina of light brown earthen clay. The condition is excellent & it's signed on the bottom.

Large storage jug of typical Shigaraki stoneware with small white inclusions, made in three sections, decorated in multicolor enamel and gold with a cat making a mouse train come to an abrupt halt. A cat, high back, hissing at the mouse going at the head of a train, makes the train come to a dead stop and the following mice tumble, roll, spill in a ripple effect. Angel Skin Coral Stick Pin with gilded metal mount, 3/8" diameter for round Coral, 2 1/2" long for entire stick pin. It is in good condition.

An interesting square porcelain brush pot with a long inscription of the Chu Shi Biao composed by the 3rd century strategist, Zhuge Liang. The inscription makes the argument that the state of Shu Han must fight against Cao Wei. The calligrapher at the end signs and dates the piece: The 23rd Year of Kangxi, (inscribed by) Wen Fang. A pair of Chinese semi precious stone crafted into a small magnolia tree. The tree is planted in a Chinese cloisonne pot. The container's body has a lovely blue background with abstracted lotus design, old gilt on edges. The entire tree is crafted as if an actual plant is planted in the pots.The cloisonne appears to be late 19th century. The semiprecious stones are of a later vintage. This is a densely beaded purse made by Pashtun nomadic women from Afghanistan depicting the ancient tree of life motif. It measures 12 x 19.5 cm and is in excellent condition. The beaded tassels are attached by cords made of metallic thread. The inside is lined with purple polyester fabric and features three pockets. The embroidery technique is a tightly worked ladder stitch accented with metallic braided trim. Estimated age mid to late 20th century.

Cambodian Angkhor Thom design hinged Silver Box, 1 1/2" high, 6 3/8" wide, 3 7/8" deep, impressed design of Angkor Thom within impressed scrolling leaves and vines design border on top, and scrolling leafy design on all sides, impressed mark on the bottom. The condition is good.

Measuring 18.5 x 28 cm when opened and 18.5 x 19.5 cm when closed, this pair of purses are from Katawaz in Paktika province, Afghanistan. The embroidery technique is an intricate ladder stitch depicting whirling solar motifs combined with button hole stitches around the mirrors ("shisha"). The purses also feature beaded discs ("gul-i-peron") intended to ward off the evil eye - the same function performed by the mirrors. Silk thread on a green silk background. Condition excellent...

This hand-embroidered purse was made by Pashtun nomadic women of Katawaz in Ghazni province and measures 15.5 x 25.5 cm. The embroidery designs are a combination of eight-pointed stars and abstract wave and spiral motifs in fine ladder stitch, neatly arranged in a series of rectangular panels with gold braiding...

This child's waistcoat was made in Kohistan which is located along the Karakoram Highway and on the Indus river in Pakistan. The textile measures 26 x 32 x 34 cm and is embroidered in acrylic thread on a fine black linen background. Silver amulets are incorporated into the textile to repel the evil eye ("djinn") and various coins adorn the bottom edge of the vest. Estimated age: mid to late 20th century. Condition is excellent.

This is a museum quality embroidered wallet from Katawaz in Ghazni province, Afghanistan. The embroidery technique is called couching, where the gold metallic threads are meticulously laid down in neat parallel rows, and then fastened down at regular intervals with tiny orange threads...a very labor-intensive embroidery technique that cannot be accomplished with a sewing machine. Mirrors are strategically placed to ward off the evil eye ("djinn") and embellished with blue seed beads...

This is a lady's purse from Bamiyan, Afghanistan, finely embroidered in silk thread. The Hazara excel in making very intricate geometric design embroideries executed in brick stitch. This purse has also some chain stitch and couching stich ("basma") on the reverse, which features three separate pockets. Condition is good with some staining on the front consistent with its age (mid to late 20th century). The purse measures 10.9 x 23.6 cm.

Measuring 46 x 47 cm this textile forms the bodice of a Hazarajat nomad's shirt (kamiz). The embroidery is an intricate combination of satin stitch (or straight stitch) and an extremely finely worked ladder stitch worked by hand on an ivory linen background. Mirrors ("shisha") are strategically placed to ward off the evil spirits ("djinn"). Estimated age: early to mid 20th century. Condition is excellent.

The male and female heavy (1.8 lbs and 1.29 lbs [814 g and 586 g] respectively) and of stout potting though with well defined details and clear glaze with very faint bluish celadon trace where the glaze pools - mostly between feathers around the birds' necks. These two are clearly of earlier, accomplished production though not marked...

A well rendered blue and white Chinese porcelain dish with 4 figures. In very good condition, surface showing no wear, there are few minor frits around the edge and a chip on the inside bottom foot rim, nothing of any consequence. Dating Republic period, it measures 5.5" (14 cm) diameter and 1.5" (3.8 cm) deep.
