This is a beautiful moulded polychrome porcelain bat or wufu and peach brush washer. The bat or wufu is glazed in a iron brown colour with gold dotting and lining. The pair of wings is shown clinching onto the peach and presumably, the bat eating is eating the peach. The peach colour is in the shed from green to dark pink at the tip, with dark green leave and brownish tree trunk. The inside of the brush washer is glazed in turquoise colour...

A Chinese duan inkstone housed in a fitted carved box, most probably for a scholar. The box is carved with birds on flowering branches. The box sits on four corner mounts. The stone is carved with a poem. I believe that the box is zitan. (Note: Some of the pictures have been lightened to show the detail.)

This charming little girl's cap from Indus Kohistan measures 21 cm in diameter and 44 cm in circumference. It is densely embroidered in silk thread on black cotton, a combination of extremely fine cross stitch (petit point) and satin stitch forming geometric patterns.
