Ito Yuhan is known for his woodblock prints that have a watercolor-like appearance.

A silk and cotton ikat-dyed chapan with padded and quilted cotton lining from northern Afghanistan. It is in excellent condition, measuring 137 cm across from one sleeve end to the other; arm opening: 26 cm; bust: 49 cm; gusset to sleeve opening: 47.5 cm; shoulder hem to bottom hem: 113 cm. Estimated age late 20th century.
Antique Persian Baluch rug, 100% hand woven wool in rust brown, light red, and indigo hues, with repeating geometric motifs throughout. These rugs are hand-knotted by the nomads of Baluch. Baluch or Baluchistan is the area between the borders of Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan-- this is why Baluch rugs are said to be a mixture of three different regions.

The finest servant dolls, Shitei (Shittei,Shicho,Shiccho) from Kyoto, Japan. They are the court servants from Heian Imperial Court and part of Hina dolls displayed for the Girls Day (Hina Matsuri Festival) in Japan. Some damages in the toes of one doll and clothing.
The tallest doll is 8 inches tall.
Chinese natural Dushan jade carving depicting scorpion on leaf. Dimension: Measurements as follows; 88 x 77 x 42(mm) or 3.46 x 3.03 x 1.65 inches with total weight of 454 grams. Unusual early Showa period (1930s) ceramic sake cup made in nerikomi (agateware) technique, its body with vertical grooves all around the perimeter. Nerikomi (translated as “mix and pull up”) is achieved by laminating different colored clays together and throwing them on a wheel to develop a swirling and spiraling effect. Beautifully made, wonderful patterns, glazed on the inside for safe drinking, inscribed by the potter the bottom, very pleasant to hold...
Jade necklace comprised of white beads. It is fastened with a loop decorated with small forest green, grey, translucent, and blue/green jade beads, with one large green jade bead to hold the strands into place.

Japanese Seto Earthenware Blue and White Tokkuri, small Sake Bottle, 3 1/2" high, 5/8" diameter-top rim, 1 3/4" diameter-bottom rim, transparant Celadon thick glaze over underglaze Blue and White decoration of trees and plants, unglazed bottom with bombed pattern, small flake chip on the bottom.
Chinese low bowl done in famille verte with a reticulated rim done in a dark blue glaze. The plate shows 4 men enjoying outdoor activities by a lake in a mountainside setting. The underside contains a red Lingzhi fungus mark.
Condition: Good condition, no breaks and/or cracks. Some minor wear to the enamels

These geta (shoes) were worn by a girl or young Japanese woman. Build up from several layers of materials, the felted soles have slits to allow access for the changing of thongs should they become soiled or worn. Small pieces of leather nailed are the heels. The upper fabric liner is made from two pieces of contrasting fabric sewn together and show a small amount of dirt and an almost imperceivable foot imprint about the toe area...

1930s Japanese plastic kushi (hair comb) with embedded gold tone metallic flower design and 2 types of mother of pearl inlays depicting magical rain hat and and Daikoku’s mallet, design continuing on the back. Very well made, wonderful work in Japanese taste, 2 losses to inlays (handle of the mallet and a leaf on the back), otherwise in great condition. Length 3.82 inches. Part of East Coast collection of Japanese hair items.
