Two Hanging Scrolls of Cloud-Clad Verdant Mountains by Zhang Daqian (1899-1983) 60½ X 16¼ inches 153.67 X 41.3 cm Ink & Color on Paper Each inscribed & signed with three artist seals. Each bears a connoisseur seal impression of Xu Bojiao, famous Hong Kong-based connoisseur and exclusive agent of Zhang's artwork from 1949 onward. These are from a New York collection.

This bare foot fisherman is 8” high (9“ high with base), 2 ¼” wide and 1 1/8” in depth. It is a middle 20th century product. The long bearded fisherman wears an old style coat and pants. His right hand is holding a fish on a string; his left hand is holding a long fishing pole. It is in excellent condition.

Of flattened baluster shape with a waisted neck supported on a carved foot with golden natural inclusions. The body of the bottle is carved with a relief dragon motif all around.

Beautiful scroll painting by artist Yuan Feng Zhau of a robed man playing the flute, riding upon the back of an ox. The suggested movement of the ox seems as if it is dancing along with the music. A waka poem in underglaze blue brushed by female artist/poet Tomioka Haruko decorates this porcelain Mizusashi by female potter Suwa Sozan II enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The porcelain container is 17.5 cm (7-1/2 inches) tall, 11.5 cm (4-1/2 inches) diameter and in excellent condition. On the base it bears the circular mark of Suwa Sozan II and on the side the verse is singed Haruko 80. From this we can surmise it dates from 1926 when Haruko was 80 by Japanese count...

The material of vase is crackle glazed eathenware. It is more Satsuma type body but not small crackle as Satsuma. Nice Gold design with the panoramaic landscape painting over the two section of vase. The vase itself is in square shape, but the two handles are located on the corner on each end which make more unique. Well design with the gold works with beaded and moriage gold. Measuring 8 x 36.5 cm, this embroidered band from northern Afghanistan was hand-embroidered by Uzbek women in an exceptionally fine cross stitch on a pumpkin linen background. Condition is excellent. Estimated age early to mid 20th century.
