Small drum handle probably from the small drum of a young shaman. The patina is light brown with beautiful sculptures showing deep reliefs. The design remains classic with a dorgi with deep vertical sculptures, the beak of the Makara is original with a bold circular opening, each side of the triangular tip is carved of the Shiva trident, a pair of intertwined snakes and a standing shaman. A precious antique pale pink Peking Glass wine cup. It is molded glass, cut/grinded with a short carved foot. Chinese glass was largely used to imitate more precious materials such as white jade, Lapis Lazuli and other valuable minerals.

Chinese blanc de chine porcelain figure of the bodhisattva of compassion Quan Yin. She is sculpted lounging against an armrest with a lion's face. One of her delicate hands is emerged out from her robes, clutching a sutra scroll. The bodhisattva is easily identified by her large ear lobes and protruding third eye, attributes of an immortal being. Her backside is signed with a chop and a gourd shaped signature.

Pair Korean Scholar's Book Chests, four(4) claws Korean Dragon and Phoenix Bird are battling in the flame, inlaid with Mother of Pearl, twisted Brass and faux tortoise shell, 41" high, 27" wide, 12 1/2" deep each in the background of dark brown lacquer with gold powder sparkling finish. Inlaid design of the wings of Phoenix Bird and Dragon are spread out into both sides, and the back is plain dark brown lacquer finish. A bag for backpack made of Miyama Kansuge, "hiroro" by dialect which is a group of carex. It is made in Aizu region in Fukushima prefecture. It has purple and dark indigo cotton cloth interknitted in the cord. 20th century. In excellent condition. 40cm x 39cm.

This is a real jade (hard stone) carving of Cicadas pendant, it is a symbol of purity in chinese culture over thousands of years, it is very nice and simple works of art. In good condition, sign of wear and age, it is from circa 1900s and can be much earlier than that of Qing Dyanasty, found in XinJiang Province... please ask for detail photos. Early 20th century, Korea. approx. 51 x 33 x 3.5cm each (20.07 x 12.99 x 1.37in). Such refined craftsmanship of characteristic unilateral rounded lattice facing outward tells this pieces were actually installed in the residence of Yangban (ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yangban) at that time.
