A wonderful head of a stargazer idol in a rare hard greyish stone for this type, a female idols of Kiliya type, Anatolia, c. 3000-2500 BC.

The type with a triancular head, pronounced ridge and protuding eyes.

Size: 53 mm. tall.

Condition: Very fine, some white deposits uncleaned.

Ex Old Munich collection.

A larger black serpentine cylinder seal, showing a the Great King battling a winged griffin with bird-like features, star and other symbols in the fields. Achaemenid, c. 550-332 BC.

Nice core Persian style for the medium.

Height: 34-35 mm and with a diameter of 12 mm.

Condition: Very fine for the type and basically intact with minor chips and smooth wear.

A wonderful style large black serpentine cylinder seal, showing a mounted King hunting a Bull in full freight, a bird in the top and symbols of the Sun and Moon, Middle-assyrian, 14th - 11th century BC.

The scene is quite rare with the detailed bearded mounted king.

A late period Neo-Assyrian cylinder seal in a fine blue Lapis Lazuli, dating to the 8th.-7th. century BC.

Nice core style Assyrian seal depicting the great king hunting a winged beast. His right leg raised of a Peacock bird, with the winged emblem of Ashur above and the crescent and Sun in the fields. Very thick and impressive for a seal in Lapis!

Interesting and massive cylinder seal in a beige-white attractive stone, Mesopotamia, probably 2nd. millenium BC, provincial manifacture.

A rare depiction of a seated main deity or king at the table and a servant or lesser deity in front. A large fish is placed on the table and there's a three below and a crescent above.

A set of two very decorative Islamic tiles with floral motifs in fine colours, Qajar or earlier, c. 17th.-19th. cent. AD.

Unresearched but guaranteed at least from the 19th. century, probably older. With fine crackles in the glaze and a wonderful brownish patina on the backside.

Size: Each c. 14,7 cm. tall and 9 cm. wide.

Condition: Extremely fine! An intact pair.

A vintage necklace in fine twisted silver wire of ancient clay mummy beads and a large faience amulet of Bes, Late period to Roman period, c. 600-100 BC.

Size: 43 mm. for the amulet, the necklace is 29-30 cm. in a double row. Incl. a couple of - probably modern but old - charms in bronze or cobber.

A lovely high quality flintlock pistol with 2-staged barrel in brass, London marks, made by Bate, late 18th. cent.

All brass construction except for the lock. The lock is marked "BATE", the top barrel flat at the breech end is marked "LONDON" and the left rear flat is marked with two crown over crossed scepter proofmarks. A lovely and extremely rare, large version of a Wheel-lock pistol in Noble quality, Germany, Augsburg, c. 1570-1580.

With swamped two-stage barrel, struck on the top flat of the octagonal breech with the Augsburg mark (Neue Støckel 1294), and the cock of the fine metal lock is engraved with marine monsters.

Scarce and attractive steatite scarab of the New Kingdom period, inscribed with the royal name / cartouche of Seti I, 1294-1279 BC.

A really nice and detailed core style cylinder seal, of the Neo-Assyrian Empire, 9th.-7th. cent BC.

The seal depicts the king in a running 'Persian' stance, spearing an Ibex with a short spear or arrow, while holding a sicle-sword in the other hand. A quiver on his back and the star symbol of the Sungod over the Three Of Life.

Size: 21 mm. tall and 8-9 mm. wide.

Condition: About Extremely fine.

Marvelous core Assyrian style depicting an offer scene: A manheaded and winged horse / winged Kentaur is bending it's knee to the great King or perhaps Sin the moon god, below the winged sun-disc emblem of Ashur.
