All silver stamped with the French Minerva mark as well as an axe in a diamond and the initial AH-presumably maker. Late 19th century. In original blue silk lined presentation box. Bato Kannon Ca. 1870 (horse-headed Kannon, also called Mezu Kannon), hayagriiva in Sanskrit, is one shape of Bosatsu (Bodhisattva) worshipped in Buddhism. It is one of the transformations of Kannon Bosatsu (Kannon Bodhisattva) and is also included in Roku Kannon (six deities of mercy). It has fierce expression, which is rare for Kannon. 19th century Chinese lacquer snuff bottle in flask form with inlaid lac burgaute reserves on each side depicting a flower sprig and brocade patterns surrounding the reserve. Lac Burgaute is a French term describing a lacquer technique with inlaid designs using small shapes of iridescent blue-green and purple abalone shell and gold and silver foil. Very well made, well hollowed, original matching stopper, in great condition. Height with stopper 2 9/16 inches.

19th C Meissen "Love Crowned" porcelain hand painted figurine of Cupid placing a flower crown over a pair of hearts. In excellent condition save for one small chip on base bottom corner. It is marked with cross swords in underglaze on the base. Measures about 5.5"s high, 2.75" wide, 2.25" deep. Circa 1880. We also have "Love Captive", see last photo.

A large Korean black lacquered wood box with mother of pearl inlay. The depiction of pairs of cranes and songbirds within the decorative panels likely relevant to a wedding gift.. Joseon dynasty, 19th century. Condition is fair to good, with some some light loss to inlays and minor distress from age and use. From the hardware, 19 1/4 inches wide, 10 1/8 inches deep, 10 3/4 inches high.

Circa 1870s hand carved and highly polished rock crystal and purple amethyst snuff bottle. Carved in good medium relief is a maiden carrying a poled basket with reverse having a flycatcher in the lower right corner amongst a landscape (but it is very hard to make out due to the sheen). In excellent condition, the bottle measures 2 7/8" high and 1 3/4" wide.

A pair of Hand Painted Jardiniere or Cachepots in porcelain circa 1830 measuring each about 10” tall. The pair each with separate bases, and gilded highlights. The handles decorated with ram heads.

Carved wooden cup representing large lotus leaves and buds on which evolve a crab and a shrimp. The feet are made up of snails. Although the carving work is of excellent quality, the wood used is not purple sandalwood. Part of the edge has been broken as shown in the photo, but this does not affect the aesthetics of the object. In addition, restoration work is possible with a perfect result. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Wehsener Dresden in the late 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The porcelain has an egg shell, translucent quality. The set is hand decorated with large sprays of colorful flowers. Little sprigs of flowers dot the surface of the porcelain.
