An antique Japanese Kotansu (personal storage chest) made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. Original bronze hardware. Two sliding doors open to a storage space with one shelf. Five drawers provide additional storage and organizing areas. Constructed using straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nails. It would make a perfect nightstand or side chest for any room decor.

A scarce Arts and Crafts American art pottery coffee pot by Clifton Art Pottery of New Jersey. This 6-7/8" tall coffee pot is in the lovely "Crystal Patina" glaze and it dates to the 1902-6 period. It has the stamped Clifton mark and an underglaze 272-30; it is in very good original condition with no chips, crazing, damage or repairs other than the loss of the lid and a tight hairline on the bottom only (not showing on the interior at all)...

Wonderful large Tabloid seal in greenish-black Serpentine stone, North-Mesopotamian, 2nd. half of the 4th. mill. BC.
The seal rectangular - tablet formed - engraved with architectorial elements, likely Ladders and line decoration.

The Tabloid seals represent a special group of later 4th. millenium seals, often decorated with long ladder-like elements, perhaps representing a way to the heavens...

Beautiful antique Japanese hand-woven bamboo basket of a crescent moon form, with a wide boat-like body, smooth woven handle and flattened base. Originally ikebana baskets where used to hold stunning followers of all sort.

This very well carved late 19th century wood netsuke of a coiled snake is 2 ½” long, 1 ½” wide and 1” high. It is in excellent condition.
Antique Balinese Barong mask. The masked figure in Topeng dance dramas represents a protective spirit, a symbol of health and good fortune and is used during dance celebrations. This mask is carved of wood and painted with colors and gold details. Mounted on a metal stand.

Nice old Thai sticky rice “lunch box”, from the Karen ethnic group Northern Thailand. This is about 40 or 50 tears old with typical double wall construction. There are areas that have been lovingly repaired with some nylon cord. To the purist this may be seen as a distraction but I see time and an ethic where nothing was ever wasted- this was a valued very personal object. Next to it I have placed a contemporary one...

Antique Kilim runner of Turkish nomadic tribe origin. A series of 9 large bands, each with three large diamond shaped reserves inside which are crosses surrounded by protective hooked borders. Smaller protective diamond shapes and crosses fill in the space around each large motif. Bands of white with small crosses and diamond provide more protection. Hand woven of wool. Circa 1900.

Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Zodiac Figure (Tiger)
This pottery "zodiac figure" was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is in the form of a robed official figure, hands held together across the chest, with the head of a tiger. It is made from a reddish-brown pottery that has been cold-painted in a creamy-white pigment with pink pigment on top around the head.

LARGE Chinese Western Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Hu Jar
This large and imposing pottery jar, of "hu" form, was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It is made from a fairly high-fired grey pottery. It has a particularly wide body with a relatively short neck that flares out into a wide mouth. There are three raised decorative bands surrounding its wide body.
