This is tsutsugaki & handwriting fireman's cotton coat sashiko hanten coat of a splendid firefighter of the late Tokugawa period of the Edo era(1800-1867). A fight of kawanakajima is a design. It is a very high technique. A samurai (takeda shingen and uesugi kenshin) and a horse are drawn and are also the uplifting feeling and the excitement which seem to begin to move shortly. And there is sashiko stitch on the entire surface by hand. As for it, length is longish with 92cm...

Decorated with a carp diving in waterweed executed in typically thick and strongly hued enamels. The back similarly decorated with oysters and weed, the centre with a large Kutani mark.

This is Nobori-Paper used in a house in the Edo era. The pattern of this Nobori-Paper is Shoki. Shoki is an old Chinese soldier. This is made with paper. The rim of this Nobori-Paper is protected in hemp thread.� This is hardly left now. Most of left flags are textiles. This has many stains, damage, but there is value for a document very much. This lovely antique Indo Persian box is covered with silver and bronze elaborate damascene work on the top and 4 sides. The box lid is slightly domed and the inside is lined with wood. Made in what was Persia, now Bidar India, this box dates to the early part of the 19th century, and is an fine example of Damascene metal work. In excellent condition, the box is 6.5 inches x 3.5 inches x 2 inches high...

This is a Japanese antique edo era silk tsutsugaki natural indigo dye yuzendye fukusa textile of (iseebi)Lobster and wave pattern. Ise Lobster was drawn very precisely. It is a tsutsugaki dye and Yuzen dyeing of hand-drawn dyeing There is a slight pale discoloration. There is a small hole in the lining safflower-dyed silk. Circular kobako in gold lacquer, decorated with cranes and pines on a nashiji background. The interior is in nashiji lacquer. On the lid, we can see the mon of the Tsugaru family (津軽).
This family is a samurai clan from the province of Mutsu, in the north of Japan. It was originally a branch of the Nambu clan, which became free during the Azuchi Momoyama period (1573-1603)...

Statue, made of glass, representing Buddha Sakyamuni_ sitting cross-legged on an elevated lotus throne, his head backed by an aureola, holding a scroll (symbolizing the Buddhist Book of The Law) in his right hand. China, early 19th century. Height: 15.2 cm. Accident at shoulder level (restored), otherwise good condition.

A hard paste porcelain cup and saucer with gilding of lyres with arrows supporting swags. Two panels on the saucer and one on the cup displaying in differently toned gilding elaborate outdoor scenes with people, buildings, trees and other details. The partially gilt handle scrolls to the top edge. Two-tone leaves ring the lower part of the cup. There are no marks on either the cup or saucer. Inscribed in the body of the saucer inside the fool is what appears to be “n6” in a bold hand...

A beautiful famille rose dish decorated with flowers and Chinese characters. Jiaqing six characters mark and of the period (1796-1821). Condition: there is a 7/8" fade double hair line on the back (photo #4) and an approximate 2 inches edge touching(photo #5), no other flaw other than these. Diameter: 7-1/4"

The reason why this bowl is so rare is the fact, that nearly all bowls of this kind of Medallion bowls are " Doucai " bowls on that the underglaze Cobalt - blue outlines of the decoration are filled with overglaze enamels. Sometimes there are also to find such bowls that do show the underglaze blue outlines only, which are for whatever reason still not filled with overglaze enamels. The decoration of such pieces somehow give an " incomplete impression"...
