A nice piece of Ming dynasty funerary sancai glazed groom and horse. The horse is in light brown glazed while the groom wears a black cap, with a moustache and wearing a light green overcoat with white collar. The horse has a green glazed harness,tussles and saddle cloth. The saddle is brown in colour.

There is only a chip to the horse ear as shown in picture no.4 by the circle. The chip on the horse ear can be easily repaired by an expert restorer...

Chinese miniature quartz sculpture of a a woman with an attendant from the 19th century. The woman is robed and holding a flowering branch in her right hand, a basket in her left. The figure to her right is kneeling, with agate base. It measures 2" long, 1.25" deep, 2.5" tall.

Highly interesting scaraboid seal of the earliest style and type we've seen, probably inspired by Egyptian scarab seals, Middle bronze age of the Levant, c. 2200-1600 BC.

The seal is very large and carved in a greenish black stone. Interestingly, there's remnants of the metal mount, probably a chain in iron or bronze (looks like iron!). The seal is carved with Capride with a bird above...

Three plates with a blind molded basket weave border and swirled ribs the way Coalport molded plates in the early part of the 19th century. The hand painted flowers in a central bouquet and four single flowers on the lip are very much in the early Coalport style. The plates are 9 ¼ inches (23.5 cm) in diameter.

Conditon: no chips cracks, hairlines or repairs for two and the third with a spider in the center...

This antique Mongolian belt evokes the image of Mongolian horseman galloping across the plains... The chain is heavily patinated from age and use. The deeply doomed central medallion retains the original stained dark finish and highlighted gold (unknown source) on the border and central decoration. This piece is heavy... the central medallion is 6+ inches across,3.5 inches wide, and 3+ inches deep.

This glorious flow mulberry coffee pot is a treat on several counts, not the least of which is the fine ironstone construction and design of the pot with the Peruvian pattern by J Wedge Wood - not be confused with Josiah. The body flairs outward, cutting an impressive figure. Although there is regular crazing throughout, the condition of the pot is excellent. The underside is backstamped as noted, and also has a British Registry mark for the year 1875...

An interesting and very rare Wedjat Eye amulet in the openwork design and inscribed on the back with the cartouche of Cartouche of Maatkare (Hatshepsut), New Kingdom, ca. 1479–1458 B.C.

These Eye of Ra amulets are very rarely inscribed with cartouches on the back. This particular amulet is also of special interest since it bears the name of greatest female ruler in the history of the Dynasties, Hatshepsut.

Size: c. 19 mm.

Victorian Scottish Mauchlineware Pencil Box Rare mauchline ware pencil box featuring transfers of two different scenes. The lid is decorated with a scene entitled “London Bridge & Cannon St. Station” and the body scene is entitled “Lambeth Palace”. Both transfers are very crisp and detailed. English scenes are much less common than images of Scotland. This piece is also larger than most pieces of mauchlineware.

Origin: Scotland, circa 1860. Condition: excellent, no cracks...

Japanese pair of Buddhist attendant figures. Each figure is carved of wood and painted with mineral pigments. Fine details are painted in gold gilt. They are draped in Chinese robes with long flowing sleeves, each wearing an ornate metal headdress. One attendant holds an offering, the other, a flower scepter made of wire with glass and wooden beads. Their inlaid eyes are made of glass.

Japanese late 19th century sleeve from a stage costume. The sleeve has design hand embroidered on front and back. The front has a large pearl with 3 dragon claws showing around the edge. There are also plum blossoms, bamboo leaves and stylized clouds. The reverse has the 3 friends, bamboo, plum and pine with cloud designs. There is also a fabric handle for the piece. This type of sleeve was not actually worn, but held against the body during a performance. The piece measures 24 1/2" wide...
