This is a wonderfully detailed silver needle case which was worn hanging from the belt. It has it's original long leather thong and silk tassel. Each side of the silver case has a central stone bead...one coral, one turquoise. The sides of the case (not pictured) have incised cloud/wave pattern. When opened, the case has copper with fabric arm to hold the needles.
For indigenous and nomadic people, needles were an essential and valuable tool for survival of daily life...
This small hinged metal case is covered with leather and opens to display both red ink pot and personal ivory chop. The person's name on the base of the chop is clearly carved. Leather in old China was very expensive...the owner of this chop must been a person of both status and wealth. The leather shows age but is intact and set is in very good condition. The case measures 2.5" X 1+" This is a rare old piece.

A vintage Art Nouveau period sterling silver 4-3/4" jam spoon c1900. This spoon has a 1-1/4" x 7/8" acanthus leaf bowl, a twisted tendril design stem, and it is stamped STERLING with an obscured maker's mark, and it is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use...
A rare 16th Century AVA Period Limestone Head of Buddha (Burma, 1287 - 1752) with sweeping eyebrows over downcast eyes, typical of Ava art-style, well modeled lips and elongated ears. Carved in high relief as most likely originally set against a back slab. Condition good, one small chip on tip of nose. This head has been nicely mounted on a black stand. Size: H. 20cm x W. 13cm x D. 12cm, excluding stand.

A very good cut glass vase by Clark in the "Iris" pattern. The lower third and the flared rim are cut with elongated hobstars flanked by mitred triangles of strawberry diamond cutting enhanced with fans; and the neck is cut with panels of printies alternating with notched prisms. The base is cut with a 20-point hobstar and has Clark’s script acid signature. The pattern is either "Iris" or a variant of “American Beauty”...
A handsome Victorian bronze pen tray with a native American motif. One end of the tray has a very detailed representation of an Indian wearing a feathered headdress and various jewelry. The tray itself has a wonderful relief scene depicting an encampment. A group of warriors are gathered around a fire smoking a pipe and wearing feathered bonnets and loincloths. Teepees are in the background, along with a number of palm trees...
A fine sterling silver gravy ladle in the 1892 “Richelieu” patterns by Tiffany & Co. This is one of Tiffany’s great early patterns and is very sought after today. It is distinguished by shell motifs at the handle and pendant bellflowers that lead down the stem. The flattened bowl is elegantly gadrooned to match the scalloped edge. The back is marked with Tiffany’s hallmark in use 1891-1902.

This is a consignment piece and as a result is a little out of my area of expertise. I am told that it is a boar spear from the middle ages, circa 15th century. It was found in Germany. It is very large, approximately 45 cm in length and is decorated on both sides of the blade. The socket has two tangs that are in line with the blade edges. The entire piece is solid and stable with no signs of repair...
