19th century Chinese scholar’s burl wood belt buckle with a dragon head finial looking at her cub crawling over her belly. Could have been used as a brush rest. This is a very rare and highly desirable Changsha kiln 9th century Tang Dynasty bird water dropper. Based on archaeological records, Changsha wares originated and were developed from the foundations of the Yue Zhou kilns which were built prior to the Tang Dynasty in the same region. Usually these are characterized by such components such as under-glazed brown and green motifs and with molded design in relief, appliqué designs or impressed designs in relief and also incised or carved designs...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1878. The date letters in the mark indicate this year. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The saucer is shaped and molded like a lily pad and the cup is the flower. The porcelain is smooth and creamy imitating ivory. The decoration is Japanese inspired. There are hand gilded butterflies, a heron bird, branches and foliage...

Lovely large silver plate tray with beading center decoration and trim, with beading around the edges. It has raised handles with wood in the center, and small raised feet. I can't find any markings on it, but it is definitely old and lovely. It measures 26" long by 19" deep and can easily hold a lovely tea set.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Royal Doulton around 1900. It is signed by the artist Arthur Leslie. The diameter of the plate is 10 1/2 inches. It is made of fine bone china. The hand painted scene in the center features a Grecian woman in flowing robes surrounded by flowers, arranging some of them in an urn. The colors are soft pastels. Light permeates the scene...

Early 19th century wooden netsuke of a snarling shishi (Buddhist lion) seated on a base. Wood is lacquered in Negoro style - golden lacquer over dark red/brown over black, so as it wears first red, then black and then wood start showing, thus adding yet another color to the piece. Very smart use of lacquering technique, wonderful depiction of its face, ribs and bushy tail, beautiful wear to the surface, really nice feel of age to the piece. Height 1.40 inches.
