The size of Bowl: 6" Dia x 1 3/8" High. This is beautiful and Rare Japanese Old Kutani Bowl from early Meiji, 1870-1890. It is made of fine porcelain. It has the design of Taka (Japanese Hawk), with Fuji Mountain, Pine Tree with the decoration of Karakusa done with gold work, The pine tree are painted with fine brush works. It is not outlined work like commercial painting items. There is Sun or Moon design behind the Hawk. Outside of bowl has cherry blossom leaves with Genji Kou design...

An unusual Arita porcelain tea pot styled after a cast-iron example. The textured surface is described as “nail head” when it appears on an iron tetsubin. Late 18th ~ early 19th century.

The Shibata Museum compendium has a pot of similar shape and cartouche, no nail head texture or iron dressing  but with additional cobalt decoration, item#3782.  1780~1820.

This example is approximately 17.5 cm high. The handle has a very obvious stress crack but no other problem...

Satsuma vase; hexagonal in shape; two main panels of figures in rural settings; additional scenic panels decorated with sepia colour tones; raised gilt and enamel features throughout; some wear to gilding; good condition

Good black glazed with large swathes of russet jug circa Ming Dynasty bottle with two lugs. There are a few chips on the lower edge of mouth. This kind of ware was the “coke bottle” of their day, common place household/kitchen items, almost every home would have a few. No reason (after a good cleaning and sanitation) you couldn’t reuse for your favorite poteen, bai jiu or single malt. H: 21cm/8.2in and D: 14.5cm/5.8in.

Chinese large blue and white dish, first part of the 18th century. The same border of bamboo, vines and grapes was found on many items in the cargo of Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg that went down in 1745. Diameter "10½/ 27 cm. Condition: restored rim chips as seen on photos and a hairline.

This is an ancient Etruscan Impasto Jug with double handles, c. 650 BC. It has a few old chips from use but is otherwise intact. It is 5" tall x 4.25" wide (12.5 cm x 11 cm)and is from an old Dutch collection, possibly from Latium. A ribbed and pleasing shape.

A Pair of Chinese Iron Red Decorated Saucers. Finely painted in red and gilt with butterflies in flight between floral sprays. Kangxi C1720. Diameter; 4 1/2" (11.3 cm). Condition; rims are fritted, shallow flake in one foot, 0.9 cm.

A Chinese Imari Spoon Tray. Decorated with floral sprays radiating from a central flowerhead. Kangxi C1720. Length; 6 1/4" (15.7 cm) Condition; excellent ,tiny frits, some wear to gilding and minor firing flaw to rim.

Pair of old hand carved spoons from the Island of Timor. 1#Classic intricately carved heirloom buffalo horn spoon. Length: 23.5cm/9.2in. 2# Anthropomorphic spoon carved from a coconut shell. L: 15.4cm/6in and W: 6.2cm2.5in. Both are circa mid-20th century and in very good condition.

This is a green glaze celadon bowl from Sung Dynasty, it is in quite good condition except a chip and repaired area on the reverse, it is in good Ping sound when tapped...please enquire...
