18th century Indian bronze votive sculpture of Nandi - the vehicle of Shiva, or sometimes considered to be a form of Shiva himself. It rests wearing rich trappings in front of Shiva lingam. Very nice casting, wonderful feel of age produced by devotional wear and compressed sandalwood paste used during worship. Very good devotional object, pleasant to hold. Length 2 inches.

Small Shiva lingam carved on black stone, with four deities heads in relief around the lingam. The object is eroded with age, and encrusted with remnants of ritual substances, but the decoration is still visible. Nepal, 15th century or earlier. Height: 6.5 cm. Length: 8 cm. Good condition.

Chinese Canton faceted vase of a hexagonal form, copper with enamel of yellow ground with green vine scrolls and bright pink peonies. The vase interior done in light green enamel, and the flared foot down in white enamel.

The bowl is of greenish-gray glazed standing on a short recessed foot rim. The height is 6.3cm and the diameter is 17.3cm. A minor chip shown on picture 4. Otherwise it is generealy in good condition.

Wonderful distorted shoe shaped (kutsugata) tea bowl made of light, fine, unrefined Mino clay. Shape and style make it appear contemporary with the late Oribe bowls. The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical black oniita engobe inside and outside - with the exception of the bottom - over which a white, feldspatic Shino glaze has been poured.

Just the foot ring and its immediate surrounding was left unglazed...

Himalayan Region, Arunachal Pradesh, Monpa Sherdukpen Peoples, 18th century, probably earlier. Height: 11 1/8" (28 cm). The mask is mounted on a custom wood stand. Strong erosion, old insect infestation (no danger), otherwise good condition. Provenance: old American collection.

Superb elegant shaped of blue and white, well balance potted and decorated with open mouth Dragon on the body and with three claws , the upper side with a pair of dragons face to face with the center of diaper pattern mouth rim above lotus flower head.
