A Black-Glazed Bowl, Song Dynasty. Covered with a brown-black glaze and crackle glaze. Few small glaze lost and chips at the base. Very rarely. Diameter approximately 14.4 cm and height approximately 6.7 cm. Good condition.

Description:

A celadon ewer or water dropper was intriguingly mold as chicken pot.
By cute-looking spout and simple-form wings, the porcelain pot was applied with glass-sheen glaze all over the surface.
On the unglazed bottom, the dense-feel clay was revealed and was with adhesives of burial earth.
Crackles and abrasions were resulted from incursions too.
It was kept in very fine condition...

A Gorham Sterling Silver Berry or Serving Spoon in the "Raphael" pattern, patented 1874 and dated from shortly after. It is 8" in length with an oval bowl of 3.5" x 2.5". There is an elaborate monogram on the handle, matching item #534 (see picture) and the condition is excellent.

A Gorham Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter Spoon, in the "Raphael" pattern; patented 1874, and dating from shortly after. The length is 6" and it has a gold washed bowl (2" x 1.5"). There is intricate piercing on the bowl. There is an intricate monogram on the handle (matching item #533) and the condition is excellent.

Elegant, fine celadon porcelain flower vase dated Meiji Period 33 (c.1900). The delicate mouth and wings have buddhist cloud motif, and the legs have a juxtaposition of fading colors. In the original paulownia box, the kanji characters read: Sieji Kabin Ikko (celadon porcelain flower vase); Meiji 33 Nen Hachi Gatsu Ganjitsu Ko (Purchased on aug. 1, 1900); Hori-shi Yogu(commissioned by Mr. Hori). A Chinese Bronze Censer figure of buffalo and the figurine, Qing Dynasty. The figure of buffalo length approximately 12.6 cm and height approximately 7 cm. There's an old repaired at the one of buffalo horn. Decorated silver wire inlaid. The figurine height approximately 7.8 cm. Decorated silver wire inlaid. The figurine has few cracks around 1 cm (2 parts) and few small chips at the bottom.

This glass covered jar was produced in Europe. It has the style of the 1870s period but we are not certain of the manufacturer. The jar is 5 3/4 inches in diameter and 3 1/4 inches high. The glass is hand blown with a swirl of opalescent color entwined with powder blue. You can feel the ribs in the glass with your fingers. There is a hand painted scene in silhouette of children watching a bird on the lid. It is quite charming, with good detail...

The snuff bottle is in a moon flask shape with a footrim and a recessed base. One side of the snuff bottle show the pinkish flower of the lotus and on the other side it shows the large green leaf of the lotu's flower. On each side of the snuff bottle, there is a butterfly. A pair of bronze mirrors was intriguingly set into one piece.
As in a hidden look, the erotic motifs were only revealed when turning over the bronze plates.
They were well cast in solid form and were preserved in a latter-lade linen wood box.

Having a single bail handle, the reticulated lid fits snugly and is very well cut with a design of geometric and floral patterns. The patina is of a warm, silvery tone showing the expected evidence of use and wear.

A Chinese Blue and White Bowl, Late Ming Dynasty. Diameter approximately 21.5 cm and height approximately 11.1 cm. Decorated in the interior with the goose in the center, flowers etc. scroll pattern at the foot. There are hair lines at the foot. Good condition.

Fine old zuishin dolls from the Meiji period (1868-1912), approx. 8” (20.3cm) tall. Zuishin dolls are commonly called daijin (minister) dolls; the elder man on the right (facing) is called "left daijin" and the younger man, right daijin or ya (arrows) daijin. They were created as an addition to the emperor and empress Dairi-bina sometime in the mid 18th century by Kyoto doll makers. Armed with a sword, bow and arrows, they were the toneri (zuishin) from the Heian court (794-1185)...

This porcelain oil lamp was produced in England by the Copeland Factory in the late 18th or early 19th century. There are no markings on this piece but we have seen the exact design on other items identified from the Copeland factory. It measures 4 3/4 inches from the handle to the spout and is 1 1/2 inches high. The porcelain appears to be ironstone china. The shape of the lamp is taken from the ancient Greeks.
