The shallow tri-lobed dish is set on a raised foot with its circumference painted in a continuous fretwork pattern in underglaze cobalt blue. Japanese food container, at times known as a jikiro, where food items are placed inside the container. In tea ceremony, the object is used to place sweets inside. The object is done in black lacquer with makie decorated with a motif of a peony. Inside the container is decorated with gold in the style known as Nashiji, or pear skin. Age: 20th century. A " textbook " early Ming Longquan charger with a carved decoration. Originally with a extremely nice and thick Celaon glaze. The glaze is so thick that it nearly fills out the recesses of the carved decotation to the center of the piece. Unfortunately there is some wear to the actually outstanding good glaze. Otherwise the piece is in a perfect condition. Ming Dynasty, 15th century. Diameter 27,2 cm.

A green glazed "celadon" stoneware vase with flattened pear-shaped body,ring handles and moulded decoration made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province in the 14th Century, during the Yuan dynasty (1279-1368). On each side of the vase are six-lobed cartouches containing the Chinese characters "shou" (longevity) and "fu" (prosperity). Antique Japanese pair of lacquer trays with a black exterior and deep red lacquer interior. The sides of each tray are pierced with gourd shapes on their sides, lines, and small holes, and the rim is dotted with gilt lacquer. One tray is slightly smaller than the other, so they may be stacked and stored away. A wooden box is included with kanji on its lid. Size: 21.25" length, 13.75" width & 20.75" length, 13.25" width

This old Chinese stoneware ceramic pipe bowl (smoke chamber) would have been placed onto the smoking pipe to allow for a small piece of opium to be smoked. The tiny opening at the top would allow the smoke to be drawn into the stoneware chamber and cooled before being inhaled by the smoker.

The piece has 2 different makers marks which are clearly stamped into each side of the clay underside of bottom hole.
