This large and heavy bronze vase has thick walls and prominent relief decoration overall, including crests on the central portion of the body. The form is in the archaistic Chinese style with motifs adapted to Japanese taste. It retains its old yellowish-brown patina which darkens on the interior. The overall condition is good, having some wear to the foot and some light verdigris. The interior has patches of lighter colored incrustations...

A humorous netsuke showing a fox emerging from a demon's mouth; the demon has, what looks to be, glass eyes; deep himatoshi; lovely old patina

Pair of Small Blue and White Ko Sometsuke Dishes. Decorated in the centre with two birds and branches, the rim with butterflies. Chinese Tianqi C1621/27. Diameter 14.6 cm. Condition: very good, some fritting to rims, chip 1.5 cm to inside footrim of second dish. No other chips, cracks or restoration.

Blanc de Chine figure of Guanyin, seated with a boy holding a ruyi sceptre on her lap. Above a dragon among waves, with Longnu, the Jade Maiden and Shoukai, the Golden Youth to either side. Kangxi C1680. Height 22.7cm. Condition: vase to left of figure missing, two fingers chipped on Guanyin's hand. Usual firing faults.

This finely-carved, wooden netsuke depicts a basket of lotus florals. The himotoshi are carved in an interesting fashion on the underside. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.

A Japanese bulbous shaped bronze censer on four supports. There is a rectangular, three characters mark on the bottom - "Cast by Suiun". 19th Century.
