Description:

A cute little carving piece was rarely-found.
By greasy-feel jade-like quality of yellow glass or Liao, a lying baby with characteristic features was finely rendered.
From the sleek carving lines, the enduring old condition caused from incursions, the drilling hole and the form of the little figure, it was verified as a rare piece from Song/Jing periods.

Up for sale is an antique chinese Qing dynasty military rank badge from the back of the surcoat, first half of 1800, a leopard represents the 3rd rank military official, standing on a pride rock above the sea waves, surrounded by different kind of auspicious objects; backded with light blue silk lining. Overall executed in seed or forbidden stitch; overall in good condition, minor wear and lost thread to the border. See pictures for details.

A very fine antique Chinese archaic green jade carving of a beast. It's head has barred teeth and is turned to look backward over it's haunches to which are attached wing-like structures or a kind of stylized saddle. The unusual and thick tail twists and spirals in a circle and the feet rest on a sleigh-like pierced base. Early 19th Century, origin China, very good condition with no cracks or repairs. Size: L. 7 cm. x H. 4.75 cm. Rare!

An unusual leather box lacquered red on the outside. There is writing on the inside of the box. The writing might be to identify the item or the manufacturer. Size: L.43cm. W. 11cm. H. 6.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Some chips on the lacquer from age.

Diameter approximately 40 cm. There are some very soft chips at the saucers. It doesn't matter. There are glue marks on the bottom, possibly glued to the box, not including the box. More pictures are available. In good condition.

Painting on woven paper. An unusual and surprising technique. The paper is cut out then this woven paper is painted. However there is a subtlety because in some places only the vertical strips are painted and not the horizontal ones which shows us colored squares alternating with unpainted squares which gives a blurred effect anticipating our "pixels" and which, I think, gave the illusion of a woven fabric...
