Chinese Tang dynasty - Five dynasties YUEYAO small jar with two lugs/ears. Jar has single hairline, free from any repairs. 8 cm high, 7 cm diameter.

Ca. 1700s / early 1800s

Used as a container for red cinnabar seal paste, intended for use on a scholar's table. There are a few minor firing flaws. The lid fits rather loosely. Overall good condition with some remnants of red seal paste. Acquired in Hong Kong in the 1960s.

An archaic style Chinese jade object in the style of Han burial Jade objects. Top contains a motif of mythical beasts and the center section is incised with scrolling vines with a circular hole carved out in the center.The clear line seen below the beasts is a plastic wire to attach the jade piece on the black felt panel. Antique Chinese Jade carving of a rhinoceros. The coloration is primarily white with orange brown inclusions. It is carved in a relaxed stance with expressive features.

This wonderful pair of porcelain Chinese prunus jars combines the famous cracked ice motif with "snowing" prunus blossoms which surround 2 reserves featuring perched birds in trees. Each tree is flanked with bats, an auspicious Chinese emblem.

The inspiration for this high quality design goes back to the Kangxi period, but these vases are Republic period of very fine quality...

A large string of egg yolk / butterscotch Baltic amber, in a variety of rich hues. This necklace is possibly very old: there is crazing to the amber surface, and many of the beads show significant age wear.

Treasure box made from Chinese hardwood may be Zitan, its lid adorned with beautifully carved hardstone inlay of two standing cranes with black bottom feathers, standing on a rock structure with long leaves sticking out around it. Branches sporting pink and white cherry blossoms hang down above the two cranes. Size: 2.5" height, 7" width, 4.75" depth
