Amazing antique Chinese porcelain dish. Beautifully formed, glazed with a rich monochrome turquoise color. Standing on four small unglazed feet. Intricately decorated with tiny drum-like rivets around the outer edge and on the inside with raised stylized 5-bat motif around a central prosperity symbol. This is a lime glazed bowl with a lime green ruyi at the upper band of the bowl and the lotus lappet at the bottom of the bowl just before the foot rim. A fine and very rare bat-shaped porcelain censer with what are apparently bat head feet. We believe that there would originally have been a wood cover secured into the two outer holes and that the incense smoke would have escaped through the three central holes.

This item was made in China for the domestic market as a temple or home alter piece in the early 18th Century, probably during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722).

This is an elegant pair of tall chine de blance vase. It stands on a shallow foot rim everting upward slightly like a "v" shape with a mild short shoulder and then a slightly long inverted "C" shaped and an everted flat mouth rim. On the side of the shoulder, there is a pair of moulded lion-mask to the left and right. On the base it has the mark of the honoric mark of "Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhou". Cir. 18th/19th century.
