Finely cast bronze censer on four linked feet with very elegant flower décor on the body and fretwork on the rim, patinated in a rich brown. Bottom decorated in low relief with repeating, extremely fine fretwork of faces. Seal on bottom: Dai-Nihon Bunsei nen Seimin sei. Japan, Edo period, early 19th century.

An antique Japanese kuruma tansu coming from the Mikuni region. The tansu is fitted with iron fittings to retain the condition of the tansu and to protect the vulnerable areas of the chest. A nice piece of qingpai bowl shard. It has a high foot rim with recess base and a U-shaped body with an everted mouth rim. The body is lightly incised with slanted lines. A character, which is not very clear is painted in the centre of the foot rim.

This is Japanese Indigo dye Stripe and zanshi weave futon Cover from the Edo era to the Meiji era(1800-1880).
This material is cotton. It is made of hand-spun and hand-woven and natural indigo dyed cotton. It was made all by hand. It does not have a stain and damage and is in a very good state.

Here we present a tasteful kuro (black) Oribe kutsu chawan from the mid Edo period.
It has an interesting shape with fantastic black glaze and two different images on it. This bowl is unmarked, which was typical for tea bowls of this era.
