A nice piece of Ming dynasty blue and white bowl of a pair of Foo lion dog chasing after the rattan ball with ribbons. In the center of the bowl, it has a symbol of a swastika in the form of clouds. It stand on a short foot rim with a recess base and then everted upwards. This is a nice piece not to be missed as such good quality bowl are hard to come by
It has only minor chips at the rim as shown in picture 5 (one chip) and 6 (two chips) which are not very noticeable...

The mid 19th century carved nut (tagua) netsuke is 1 ¾” long, 1 ¼” wide and 1 3/8” thick. It depicts a Shi Shi mask and an old man emerging from a cloth bag. There is an artist’s signature on the side. Aside from a few hair line cracks, it is in excellent condition.
The late 19th century carved wood netsuke of a mask (Daikoku) is 1 7/8” long, 1 ½” wide and 1” thick. It is in excellent condition.
Burmese Shan State religious text, 14 leaves made of lacquered and silver leaf on cloth, front and back covers are carved of wood and lacquered red with gold on the inside, raised lacquer polyscript with notes on paper in the margins, 19th century or older.

This early 20th century ceramic beast looks like Shi Shi. It is 8 ¾” high, 3 ¾” wide and 7” long. It depicts a brown and beige color sitting beast with its mouth wide open. The maker’s signature “Seyama” is on the bottom. It is in excellent condition.
This pair of late 19th century export Sancai Foo lions are 9 7/8” high (male Foo lion is a little shorter), 3 ¾” wide and 2 ¼” thick. One front paw of each lion rests on a globe; the female has a cub on her back. They are in excellent condition.

This matching Japanese 5 piece set consists of 2 deeply footed shallow serving bowls and 3 small shallow bowls. The deep rich red/orange lacquer background serves to highlight the gold, black and gray landscape scene which graces the inside of each piece. Flying high overhead a gold crane surveys the pine tree and series of sacred mountains. The largest piece is 7 inches diameter, next piece is 6 inches diameter and the 3 pieces each have a 3.5 inch diameter.

The bowl is of greenish-gray glazed standing on a short recessed foot rim. The height is 6.3cm and the diameter is 17.3cm. A minor chip shown on picture 4. Otherwise it is generealy in good condition.
