OKUNINUSHI NO MIKOTO
One of the most important deities that creats the land of Japan as 'Kami' in Japanese mythology. Rare old formed object made of natural stone, with one's imagination and inspiration. Attached with wooden stand. H 11.5 cm (4.52in). Dusty and stained due to aging as is.

Undated, estimated to be 15th century. Showing a demon with sword admonishing a chained man. Text above, edges cracked. Mounted between perspex.
Tall and slender jug in the shape of a storage jar for pickles or in the shape of an actual octopus pot (trap).
Grayish brown stoneware built up from coils of clay; the inside covered with green glaze, the outside left unglazed. On the outside sits a dark brown, three-dimensional octopus, the way an octopus would sit on an octopus trap under water, on its way to inspect the inside of the jug.
Black ink inscription, almost washed away completely.

Hard porcelain dish, painted in cobalt blue under glassure. Decor typical of the second half of the 18th century. Japanese work, Arita kilns. Below are drawn 6 Chinese characters, apocryphal mark of Emperor Ming Tchenghoa. The shibata collection of the Porcelain Museum in Arita hosts a dish with a similar decoration.

Early 1900 Japanese silk fukusa featuring a turtle and a crane. Techniques used to create this wonderful fukusa are sumi-e hand painting, yuzen resist dying, some embroidery, and gold foil couching. On the reverse is red rinzu silk with crane and mons motif. Two original tassels are still intact at the bottom. There is a small cluster of tiny gray spots by the crane, see last photo. Otherwise, in very good condition/excellent, it measures 25” wide x 27” high.
Ming Dynasty Shipwreck Blue & White Watow Plate found in Indo Archipelago, from 16th/17th century period, of Birds and Flora design, glaze still intact except some corrosion of sea water but still smooth, no repair or no crack, please feel free to ask for more photos....thanks
Pipecase of the otoshizutsu form carved out of stag antler with a décor in low relief of a tiger crouching on a rock with sprigs of bamboo surrounding the rock. Surrounding the himotoshi is more bamboo. Unsigned. Japan, 19th century.

A seated bronze figure of Buddha in the earth-touching gesture. The Buddha sits on a platform with openwork scroll patterns. The face is round with facial features done in an free and unusual manner that give a tranquil, meditative expression.
Period: Burma 17th/18th Century

Condition: Good. There is a tubular opening at the back of the platform perhaps for a canopy.
